Too hot to bake but I am no quitter.

I collect biscuit barrels. This one is my favorite. I found it at an antique shop in Carleton Place last year. Right now it holds cat treats.....is that bad?

I love the art work on it.
It is a Royal Doulton made in England.
Today it is so hot but I have orders to fill for my dog biscuit clients. I will be baking in my air-conditioned kitchen which will just make my house hot again. Can't win. Dogs don't care about the weather though, they still want biscuits :)
Grand-kitty Hugo is here and he is laying low in this heat. I love his face cause he looks like a lion. He's the sweetest cat with people...not so much with other male cats, though. Tough guy who likes to fight with Joe, nothing serious...just enough to be annoying.
I have a meeting with a potential buyer of my biscuit business this week. I need good thoughts on this because I am ready to move on and put more time and effort into the in-home cat sitting service. It is hard to juggle both and the cats, of course, win out.
Have a good day and stay cool if you are living in the heat that has hit us. 35c and it is 9am.
Cali figures if the ovens are on anyway she just may do some cookin' too.

Try and stay cool--or at least well-hydrated.

  2. I hope it cools off some. We are due for some more of that really awful heat. We had a few days in the high 80's and it was gorgeous. What will Cali cook??? Wishing you really good thoughts on the sale of your dog treats business.
