This is a great way to watch and get to know a cat that you may be interested in adopting.
They loved having company and were all over us.
Some were a little stand-offish

The little stray had been hanging around Shelly's neighbourhood for a week and was grabbing food from bowls meant for out-door cats who live on that street. It was hungry when it first appeared so she presumed it had been dumped there. Shelly, being a small cat-rescuer herself, was unable to adopt it as she has many at her home that still need to find good homes. So, off it went to LAWS. It is now safe at the shelter and will be put up for adoption.
We had a great time visiting with all the resident cats. There were around 30 in the cat-room today.

Deb, how I love the look of this no-kill shelter. Before moving to Greece I volunteered in a no-kill cat shelter in Denmark for some years (it's so painful in those shelters where they sit in a cage 24/7). It gave me a lot of mental toughness - realizing you can't bring them all home! It's a different story here in Greece - there simply are no other place for them to go (at least if they are to have a chance of surviving), so I do what I can to save the little lives. They ALL deserve a good quality of life.
