Our Maggie - 17 years old.

Your healthy cat can vomit fur-balls or pass them through their stool. As long as their digestive tracts are in good order, they will be fine. Now, an impacted fur-ball within the intestines can lead to an emergency situation. If a cat has diarrhea followed by constipation and then stops producing stool altogether, you have a situation that should have you heading to your vet immediately. Including vitamins A & E in your cat's food can aid digestive lubrication. The number 1 aid in fur-ball build-up is daily brushing. I cannot say enough about the benefits of a daily grooming session. Also, if your cat takes to it, cat-grass will assist in ridding fur-balls.
