The
three little munchkins wait for their mom to finish dinner. These are my three 'fostered' kittens from our local animal shelter. They were full so they will stay with me for 8 weeks and then be adopted..
Fall has arrived and it makes for more interesting and colourful walks. Another week and we will see a big change in our Maple Trees.
It is beginning to look like Fall. The tops of the trees are bursting with red, orange, gold & yellow leaves.
I am catching any that fall to enjoy their fleeting beauty. It will soon be a new month and our trees will be ablaze with colour.
October
O HUSHED October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
To-morrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
To-morrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow,
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know;
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away;
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
For the grapes' sake, if they were all,
Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,
Whose clustered fruit must else be lost--
For the grapes' sake along the wall.

This beautiful time of year will go fast so we have to enjoy each day.
You are never far from a tea-pot in my home. I think it is safe to say I am a collector.
I have been pouring more tea lately and enjoying the company....I wonder why?
hugs, Deb =^..^=
So so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWill be around next week for more tea and kittys!

Enjoy these early autumn days.
MOL; when I first read the caption then saw the wee kits I thought you were saying THEY were waiting for color so they could look like their mum!
ReplyDeleteSo darling! OH how I wouldn't be able to leave them! (except if Mr. Ed was calling me!)

ReplyDeleteWhen I look at those adorable faces I feel such love for this little family! They really are furry angels. Who could ever leave their side? Not me! Special kisses to lovely Annie.
ReplyDeleteAll is still well between our dear Ed and Lily we trust?
THank you for my morning cuteness fix! (And poetry too!)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you found my blog because it brought me to yours. I love it! The gray kittens are just so sweet and remind me of our 8 year old Bitty when he was a kitten. He was the runt of a litter of eight. The mother cat pushed him away and we bottle fed him and care for him. He is just the sweetest cat you could ask for. I am now a follower just love your blog and what you do. Your job sounds like such a joy!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Those babeeees are so cute I can't stand it!
ReplyDeleteLovely silver tea pot =)
ReplyDeleteTea makes everything seem better--I think.
I love autumn. It is my favorite time of the year and it's sad that its such a short season. I plan to enjoy as much of the beauty as I can, though =)

Sweet plump furry tummies! =)

ReplyDeleteOctober is (and always will be) my favorite month of the year. It is the most beautiful visually, has the best temps AND it is my birthday month!
Thanks so much for sharing your lovely Fall images - I do so miss Fall colors (here everything is about to turn green). I hope you will get the time to truly enjoy everything about it - at the same time as enjoying the "unfurling" of the munchkins :) I figure it won't be long before they're darting all over the place!
