I have a garden in my dining-room that needs tending.
Lots of pretties to arrange.
I don't know how it happens but somehow I ended up in the antique shop again in Almonte and there she was, my next little treasure.
I saw her, I stopped breathing and I grabbed her faster than Audrey's exits. Home she came and boy does she look good here. On the bottom is stamped Wade Heath England. She will make any tea taste like heaven. She is my favorite
today. See the little chintz serving plate. Oh dear... she was on the next table. I felt weak, had to buy them fast and get out of there.
Where is that duster? And I don't mean Audrey.
Where is Audrey, anyway?
Oh!
Ahhhh, peace at last.

Audrey does just what my Charlie does. Gets his head under the covers. I can't believe Audrey isn't sniffing around your new find. It's very pretty in your collection!

LOL! The antics of Audrey. Love the new cup ... the butterflies drew me right in.
ReplyDeleteDeb,
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw the teacups on my blog list, I knew it was you!!
Beautiful post and a refreshingly new look to your blog, too.
Hope all your kitties are well. The new cup is purrfect!

Deb, Tea cups are another of my passions--started by the first ones my mother gave me. I can't seem to pass by an antique shop without perusing for tea cups and like everything else I love to collect; it's becoming quite a lot!!
ReplyDeleteAudrey, like my Bailey, is quite the attention getter. Love watching her antics! XOXO
Deb I think you find the prettiest teacups! They are just waiting for you it seems. Love the chintz! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteDeb - you sure are enjoying your teacup collecting.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see Miss Audrey is all tuckered out and resting quietly.

What a beautiful collection - and tea always tastes better when taken from beautiful china. My husband can't understand why I am so faddy.
ReplyDeleteI fully understand - there is no way you could have left that lovely cup and saucer behind, or the serving plate which is essential for your apple sauce oat cookies (which are so, so good - I'll be cooking up more apples on Monday for my next batch!)
ReplyDeleteZebby doesn't put his entire head under these days, he just buries his nose and mouth in the fluffy scarves he has appropriated!!!
So very lovely. And oh, that Audrey . . . ! Becky
ReplyDeleteLove the teacups and the cats hiding place looks like a place one of my cats would hide!
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to have these great antique shops. But I'm sure you could ferret out a gorgeous cup from almost anywhere. And they are gorgeous. Couldn't pick just one favourite if I tried.
ReplyDeleteHello Audrey! We see you....,,,
My friend Loraine had a cat that climbed under the covers when she wanted to sleep.
ReplyDeletepretty cups AND cupboard
ReplyDeleteLaughed at your last picture...:)
