After the pre-wedding photos were taken (I'll wait for the professional ones to post) Jess & Mike's wedding ceremony was held at Cape Spear in St. John's, Newfoundland. Cape Spear is the most easterly point of land in Canada. The oldest surviving lighthouse is situated at this point.
We ditched our heels and grabbed our sandals.
It looked like it might rain so no time was wasted.
I didn't take photos of The Vows. The dark clouds started to roll in.
Signing the book
The happy couple
(the rain held off and it turned out perfect)
We even stayed awhile longer
hugs, Deb
With a tear in my eye (I always cry at weddings), this is breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing, XOXO

ReplyDeleteWhat a joyful day for your whole family! Thanks for sharing it with us. Looking forward to seeing more pictures! Are you home with the kitties now?
ReplyDeleteYes I am home and right back to cat-sitting. My gang was very happy to see me in the kitchen this morning. Audrey has followed me everywhere today like a shadow. Good to be home but I am certainly going back to Newfoundland.
DeleteWhat a fantastic day! I was thinking of you all Saturday. Look forward to hearing all about it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations all around!
Hope Gary survived okay.
Oh, Deb.....she is beautiful, and the setting was beyond lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day for them, and you.
Can't wait to see more.
I don't normally notice these things, but her dress is just gorgeous! I'm not one for finery, but that dress hit the mark and she is a radiant bride. Good looking couple. And excellent photographer, I might add!

Wow, what a fabulous spot for a wedding! Congratulations! I'm so happy the weather cooperated, in fact the clouds make a beautiful backdrop for the happy couple. May they have a long happy life together.
ReplyDeleteIt must be a 'sister' thing but I have tears in my eyes at the beautiful simplicity of it all.
