I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. The retired-guy, once again, brought home a beautiful orchid for me. My track record with them is not great but this guy doesn't give up easily. He did mention my 'not so green thumb' as I was admiring it, though. Wish me and it luck.
Another little Valentine dropped in with home-made cookies and a beautiful hand-made card for us.
And the biggest smile, EVER!
Then some banging on a friend's piano was in order.
The cats & dog enjoyed some fresh chicken thighs for dinner last night. After all, we do love them, too. If they get any more spoiled around here, I expect this will be the next step.
Tea in bed
"Not likely"
I'm playin' again.
I love dishes with painted scenes. This plate made me think of Valentine's Day.
This is an antique, china toast rack. Cute huh! Imagine using one of these on your table.
My favorite tea-cup from South Korea
Have a nice day. I'm off to spoil Ebony.
hugs, Deb

ReplyDeleteI love your curly-haired pianist! I do okay with orchids. I have them in clay orchid pots with a bark potting mixture. About once a week, I water them in the kitchen sink and leave them there to drain thoroughly. But I just read that a good way to water orchids is to put an ice cube in the pot once a week. It melts and provides the right amount of water! So I'm going to give that a try.
ReplyDeletePut them somewhere not-to-hot in not-too-strong sunlight! :)
This was a fun post filled with TONS of pretties! I hope your Valentine's Day was a happy one. Ours, a little less so. We are beginning the process of saying goodbye to The Marmelade Gypsy. My heart is breaking.
ReplyDeleteYou are a natural born spoiler, Deb!! LOL! Chicken thighs... I love 'em too! Beautiful photos of lovely life moments!! Hope you have a wonderful day. blessings ~ tanna
