Audrey is settled in to keep me company in the kitchen.
"Amuse me, woman"
Although the little Easter tree looks out of place with the snow falling outside the window, it does bring a little comfort as we wait out the real Spring weather. I have it sitting on my Duncan Phyfe for now but it will go atop the step-back cupboard where many paws cannot reach it unless they hang from the dining-room fixture and swing over in it's direction. This is something I do not put past Audrey or Joe.
Most of the ornaments are either glass or wood. Since it's existence, I buy an ornament each year to add to the little tree.
This is the first wooden ornament I bought 20 some years ago.
Here's a photo of little Gwyn listening as I explain to her all about the celebration of Easter. She especially loves the sound of the word "c.h.o.c.o.l.a.t.e" even though it will be awhile before she can indulge.
Lovin' those polka dots.
"Where is Spring? Anyone?"
I made a juice of kale, celery, strawberry, pineapple, grapes & banana. It was amazing.
Now I'm all energized up to attack the 'dust bunnies' around here.
Enjoy your evening.
hugs, Deb
Love your Easter tree. Do you get new branches each year or is it something you keep year to year. Oh yes Kitties and dangling things do not mix!!
ReplyDeletehugs to you and sweet Gwyn!
Hi Linda - I'm glad you like it. I just pop out the front door and snip a couple of branches off the bottom of my lilac trees. I'd like to decorate some pussy-willows sometime but there are none around yet (especially this year).
DeleteI look forward to reading your wonderful blog everyday. The love you have for family and cats brightens my day.
ReplyDeleteI foster cats for our humane society; we don't have a shelter.
My current foster is a green eye/blue eye MALE calico with 3 legs. He's gorgeous. If you want to see this friendly fella, go to our website "newkenthumane.org" and follow into facebook post. I have never seen a male calico before. Gail
