I have very few words tonight as I am 'done'. I am still struggling with Audrey's health issues as she is continuing to suffer with vertigo caused by the URI. We are working on the infection that has caused fluid in the ear and the polyp. This is not a quick fix, I guess. :( Thank God she is eating and pain-free with her medication. My biggest worry is the vertigo that is causing her to walk in circles.https://www.cuteness.com/article/vertigo-cats
taken this morning
She is on meds for vestibular disease so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers for recovery. She is eating and uses her box but she paces and is confused. Of course, there are side-effects to all medication.
With all that's going on I am very tired; exhausted, actually, but I can show you how things are going with the build at the mouse-house.
So enjoy my rather 'quiet' post.
Today is Audrey's 6th birthday. Thank you for your good wishes and prayers.

It looks like progress is being made.
ReplyDeleteIf vertigo in cats is similar to that in humans (I've had it), it can be a bit tricky and take time to get sorted out.
Aw, I do hope Audacious Audrey continues to get better, poor love! And take care of you, too!
ReplyDeleteCheers - Joolz xx (South Australia)
Deb, I am so sorry. Worrying over a sick animal can really get you down. Giving a cat medicine is a job in itself. If only they could tell us how they feel, or what hurts. I hope Audrey gets to feeling better soon. She looks just as sweet as ever. Will you tell her Happy Birthday and give her a hug for me? I knew Audrey and I had something in common. Tomorrow is my birthday. :). The house is looking good! Hope you get some rest tonight.
ReplyDeleteTake comfort in the fact that she's eating and using the litter box and is safe in your arms. My thoughts and prayers for the furry princess.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Audrey darling and many happy returns of the day. We remember hearing all about your entrance into this world. God blessed you and sent you to the most wonderful home ever. We'll just have to keep praying for you to recover from that nasty vertigo. And it is nasty indeed! Our Mum has Ménière's disease and just went all loopy with her vertigo. Our late sister, Misty, has an episode of vertigo: sudden onset, ataxia, but ate and eliminated. Dr couldn't really find the cause. It resolved in 14 to 20 days and she never had it again.
ReplyDeleteBirthday love and kisses to you from all of us.
Such a worry when our 'fur children' are ill. Audrey has been such a vivacious personality that I hate to think of her diminished by this on-going problem. Hoping so much that she can regain her balance and good health.

Oh, dear Audrey, you must get well. Deb, I know this has to be so very, very hard -- all the more so because it is so visual. I'm sending loads of love, lots of prayers and most of all big wishes that this Happy Birthday is only the first day of a lot more years to come. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHealing thoughts sent to Audrey. I hope she is well soon. I know you are giving her the very best care.
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting about the house. I remember when we were building ours and would come out and see new things done everyday. It was wonderful watching it come to completion.
Take care and get some rest. Happy birthday Audrey.
Happy Birthday Audrey - prayers & good thoughts coming your way. I am sure that some of your exhaustion is from worry about Audrey, quite understandable. So big cyber hugs Deb for your well being, remember if the well is empty no one else can drink from it, do take care of yourself. At the clinic (human) we have lots of vestibular patients that the physio therapist is treating. So many throw up at their first few visits, which scares them, it's not an quick fix for sure.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Audrey. I hope she'll be recovered soon and feeling better. My 13 year old cat was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease recently so I know how stressful it can be. Make sure you get your rest.
ReplyDeleteHappy 6th Birthday, Audrey! Sending more purrs and hugs in the hopes it helps you feel better, sweetie. We love your audacious side, and waiting for it to come back so your momma can relax her worries over your health. The house is really coming along!
ReplyDeleteOh Deb...this is so hard. I know this must be so wearing. My prayers are with you as Audrey struggles...I so hope she improves poor darling...
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with Ms Audrey and you. Happy #6Ms Audrey.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Kisses to you both
The dream home is getting closer! I am so sad that Audrey is having these health issues. Sending her much love and happy birthday wishes. Take care Deb and rest when you can! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday dear Audrey and may you soon be all well.
ReplyDeleteDear Deb ~ I pray that you will get some much needed rest and that the exhaustion will soon be a thing of the past.

Many prayers coming your way for dear little Audrey and for yourself from Nebraska ><>
ReplyDeleteWe, here, are in the throes of anxiety over our own little fur baby who has been vomiting and diarrhea-ridden and is now overnighting at the Vet. Waiting for word is tough.
Wish I could give Audrey a birthday hug! Give her one for me, please.
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and Audrey. Happy Birthday to dear Audrey, too.
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers for Audrey and her family. I am sure it is so confusing for her if she feels like a person does with vertigo. Glad she has good medical care and hope there is steady improvement.
ReplyDeleteComing by again today with more prayers, hugs and wishes for Audrey and you, Deb.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Lily
