First off, Annie is doing well. Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers for her.
Her stitches have been removed since this photo and we hope that will be the end of it.
She is very precious to us.
And she is happy to let you know she is not wearing
her onesie anymore even though she rocked it.
Spring is everywhere at Fox Grove.
So much green and yellow to enjoy.
We have bird houses filling up with nesting birds such as house wrens and tree swallows.
And recently have welcomed a pair of mallard ducks to the feeders. I imagine they are nesting in the ditch somewhere.
Even our little red squirrels are nesting and of late we only have two black crows coming for food.
We are hoping, and expect, really, that the female is on a nest as the other two, after eating, fill their beaks and head off with food daily.
Our Easter Egg Hunt this year was so much fun. We picked the best day for it. No rain and the kids had a blast in the wood-lot.
Even the big ones, I think. :-)
Mother's Day was wonderful. My family joined us for a lovely vegetarian dinner at a local restaurant; yes, even the men went meat-free for a meal. It was amazing. And as usual I was a spoiled mom.
Now ...Do not over-water.
And now it is the Victoria Day long weekend and we are so busy getting the outside ready for gardens that there is no time for festivities. That's ok, though. I'm just glad to have spring and feel the warm sun when it isn't raining.
I hope it is sunny where you are and flowers are blooming. We have to wait another week to plant because of our cool nights. Next week there will be no excuses.
Annie and Wilson say "Howdy".
be kind,
Deb

Good for Annie!
ReplyDeleteCats look so utterly relaxed while sleeping.
Yay for the happy Easter and Mother's Day! And I am especially grateful to hear that dear Annie is doing better! I think the onesies for animals healing from surgery are so much better than the dreaded "collars". I hope Annie continues to improve and enjoy her summer along with Wilson. That Wilson - I get such a kick out of how he sleeps! He sure knows comfort. Don't work too hard this weekend and enjoy your beautiful home and land.
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up too -- with my blog reading. I had to go back and see what was happening with Annie. So glad she is doing well. And so glad spring is here. Finally.
ReplyDeleteSuch a relief to learn that Annie is doing so well. And to see that Wilson is his usual, happy self. Yay for good weather for you at last after such a long Winter.

Glad things are going well dear, and great news regarding sweet Annie.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the lovely weather - you definitely waited long enough!
Just back from England where the spring countryside was gorgeous. Readying for another trip back across the pond very soon! Busy days.
Hugs - Mary
Annie DOES rock that onesie! That's definitely good news. So glad all is well there. And that you had lovely holidays -- great photo of you!
ReplyDeleteWe won't plant till Memorial Day here (next weekend) either. But that doesn't mean there isn't weeding to be done before!
SO glad to hear that Annie is well on to recovery - yeah! Hello to her & Wilson. It is wonderful to be out in the garden after such a long winter & cool wet spring. While today we are enjoying +29(c) Monday is a return to seasonal of +16(c). I'll wait to plant any annuals until next weekend. ... Mary-Lou =^..^=
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that Annie is doing well again. Wonderful. Blessings upon your spring and summer, Deb.

Such wonderful news about Annie. Her well-being may be tied to the coming of spring. That makes everyone want to feel bright and lively. And what a Mother's Day! Life can be very good at times, eh?

ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that Annie is doing well. I almost emailed you on Sunday to ask about her. She is a cutie pie in the little onesie. and does that Wilson have a care in this world?? He is so funny. Will you tell them both we all said howdy back? Looks like the Easter Egg Hunt was fun. You have such a nice big family now. Enjoy every minute, they grow up way too fast. I miss all my grandchildren. The holiday aren't nearly as much fun now. Glad too that you had a good Mother's Day. That plant looks beautiful! You must be excited about planting the garden and bringing out all the flowers. Hope you will post pictures again soon. I still love and look forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteDontcha just love when cats sleep with their paws up in the air? Yay for Annie, and yay that Spring kinda maybe is here?!?
ReplyDeleteDoing some catching up myself , I am glad all is well with your Annie . Spring here has been moving along wonderfully to all though not as warm as I would like it to be some days have been down right chilly whilst others have been pleasantly warm . I have been busy in the gardens when I can and well just enjoying the season .
ReplyDeleteOh, these are good news! I'll still keep my fingers crossed for Annie <3 She's brave little girl!
ReplyDeleteWell, Easter Egg Hunt isn't our tradition, but my parents in law play it with our daughter. Maja likes it.
And our plans for the Mother's Day are simple - I'm going to visit my mom (with my husband and daughter of course), we'll eat dinner and some sweets together. And maybe we'll go for a walk :)
Mother's Day in Poland is 26.05 :P
