I have a heavy feeling today for one of my new clients who is very ill. She worries about her kitties and what will become of them if she does not recover. If there is a down-side to my work I feel this is it. Each and everyone of the cats I care for become like my own in time. I am excited to see them each day and I know the feeling is mutual. I want them to be comfy and healthy and happy while their owner is away. I guess I worry about them too because I know they are missing their people, especially the shy, timid ones. In this case, there is a partly feral kitty who misses the owner and I am trying my best to fill the void, trying to get kitty to come to me by bribing with treats and talking the kitty-talk (you know what I mean) I am making strides but she isn't easy. The other cat LOVES ME, can't get enough. She would come home in my pocket if I so wished. Funny how they can be so different. So now I wait to see what the outcome will be for these cats and I pray for a good diagnosis for my client. I only wish that my client could hold her purring cats while she is in the hospital. I know it would do her such good. ...
