Fall winds

In order to go for a walk with Kane today I needed a coat, scarf and gloves. The colder winds are upon us and it was cloudy and very cool. Kane loves this weather.

I put food down early for the ferals today. I know once I'm finished my day I won't want to go back out. I can do this on the weekend because the lot is empty of truckers. The food will be appreciated. There is never a crumb left the next day. I think about what's ahead for them with winter not far off. It always weighs heavy on me.

                                                                       
Although many people have visited Annie and the kittens, no one has committed to adopting one, yet.

My daughter Jess will be taking Hugo soon and she is thinking of taking a kitten so Hugo will have a friend. She is really falling for Bree.

I have to face the fact that my fostered kittens may have to return to the shelter where more people will see them. It is the way it is and after a certain time I won't be doing them any good to hang on to them thinking I will adopt them from home. People want kittens (very evident by the number of adult cats that sit waiting for homes while kittens come and go) so it is best to have them very visible when they are tiny so the public can see them. I will work very hard to find the right home in the next month because I know it will be incredibly hard to take them back. Wish me luck with this.
