My orchid still lives.
Maybe it's because I named her and when I walk by her I always call her Sadie. Yes, I'm just grabbing at straws here.
My first orchid
lived one month
Imagine, an orchid now thriving in a house where a known orchid-killer lives and this gal...
I'm so happy to still have both their company.
hugs, Deb
Looks like everyone is happy here ~ Deb, kitty and plant! :)

A very pretty orchid. I just love them!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the orchid still living! They are hard to grow...I agree it's because you named her! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images Deb - love that top image! Did you ever see/read/hear of The messages in water (the Japanese guy??). Anyhow, of course the orchid thrives when it is talked nicely to, lol. He did an experiment with two bowls of rice. They were left in two seperate rooms. One bowl was talked nicely to the other was sworn at. Yes, figure the result. The one that was sworn at soon went rotten, whilst the other bowl lasted much longer. Thought provoking!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week Deb,
hugs to you and the crew.

When I saw today's title "She Live" I thought you were referring to your precious Lily- another flower name, ha ha. Glad to know both are thriving for today. I love the priceless pics of Lily and Mr. Ed curled up together, and hope there'll be many more.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures and that was a very pretty orchid. Have a nice day and don't forget to vote on Sudden *smile*.

I killed one orchid, but have another that is about six years old now, and a newer one that is doing well! I think we discussed the ice cube watering method, didn't we? (Put one ice cube on the orchid pot once a week and let melt) I still haven't done that because my other method seems to be working (clay orchid pots with bark filling, put orchid in sink once a week, saturate with tepid water, leave to drain) Occasionally I give 'em a little fish emulsion fertilizer.
ReplyDeleteLove your cutie kitty!
Orchids and cats = the perfection exists!
ReplyDeleteI like the leafy dress it complements the orchid nicely. lol

Scared the heck out of us, you did! We thought one of the girls had perhaps eaten something not good.
ReplyDeleteOrchids are hopeless here in our 11% humidity. The local Trader Joe's market always has a nice selection but tells us to use them in the same way we'd use cut flowers meaning don't expect the plant to live let alone bloom again. I'm crazy about them, though.
