OK ...so all you ladies (and fellas) who popped over to meet Susan Branch, did you quickly become a follower? I'll bet you did. Her blog is so fun and full of beautiful photographs and drawings. How could you not want to see more of Jack, too. It's a great place to visit.
Kane and I are on our walk yesterday and we come across this kitty sun-bathing on the roof of his garage.
He was fast asleep until his kitty nose became aware of a dog smell and then he was on high alert.
I like to see that. I don't want cats to be too friendly with unfamiliar dogs. It's not safe for them.
I congratulated him on being a 'smart kitty'.
After a quick photo or two we headed down the street. You know me, I'm always looking UP and sure enough there was a big scary cat just waiting for the Halloweener's next week.
Now, do you think that the neighbourhood cat might have seen this guy and wanted to be a copy-cat?
I think so!
Boy, that first cup this morning tasted good.
I had a busy day meeting and greeting cats. My own cats are up bright and early to get their fair share of adoration before I leave.
Audrey always wakes me with a paw in the face. (annoying!)
Then she runs to her treat jar and sits there.
Did I mention she's smart? Oh, it's darn-near scary.
We are preparing for a big storm that's heading our way. The rain is just starting and it is very dark today. Better make sure there is an adequate amount of hot chocolate
stored away
and last I saw Audrey she was counting the cat treats.
"Oh, there you are."
When it rains, I dust. That means more time with dishes. There's always an up side to everything.
Have a fun weekend, everyone.
I'm joining Sunny Simple Sunday at http://sunnysimplelife.blogspot.ca/
hugs, Deb
I hope the storm won't be too bed Deb. I enjoyed your cats on the roof :-)!
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Madelief x
I hope there are marshmallows for that hot chocolate =)
ReplyDeleteAudrey seems so much like a people, at least to me!
Stay safe in the storm. My little dumpling boy, Rocky (oh how I miss him) used to wake me up with a light paw to my cheek and then he'd sit there and stare. Too funny. He had the infinite wisdom of the universe in his eyes. A massive heart attack took him from us at the age of 3 .... much too soon. His sister, Riley, had the same congenital heart defect and was with us until the age of 4. Sweet, sweet kitties.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny...right away I figured if you're housebound, you can always play with your dishes! Fingers crossed the storm is less harmful than predicted.
ReplyDeletewhat a great coincidence the two cats on the roof! I found an old gravy boat in a thrift store yesterday and I immediately thought of you!!!I know how you love your dishes, me too,
ReplyDeleteLove the cat on the roof; I love they always find the sun. Hope you get your package soon to brighten your rainy days--postal service so slow:-((
ReplyDeleteLOVE the big cat on the roof and of course the little copy-cat too :)
ReplyDeleteSuch cute kitties in your neighborhood! Hope the storm is not as bad as their predicting!
ReplyDeleteHi Sweetie,
ReplyDeleteI have such a soft spot for black kittys. The one your spotted is a beauty. Hope all is well with you.

Love the photos of the kitties! Our Lionel, with us for 12 1/2 years, died a couple weeks ago. Now our other kitten, Tuppence, is a little lost, but becoming much more snuggly toward me than she ever had before. Thank you for stopping in at Cranberry Morning. So nice to meet you. Enjoyed your blog and love you cat in-home care business.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb,
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable post...I just can never get my fill of cat watching. What a smart kitty the little blackie is perched up on the rooftop. It looks like a safe place to be for Halloween.
***And, as I begin this comment post...My kitty, Abigail is meowing at me wanting me to hold her >^^< >^^< >^^<
(I'm back just 10 minutes later...Sorry for the interruption.)
I am so happy to have found your blog...I enjoy it so much.
I wish you a purrrrfect day,
Blessings,

Hello Deb, Popping in to catch up with your posts. I love the little jug, cute. Of course I adore the kitties and your pictures make me smile. Maa
ReplyDeleteI think it was a copy cat *smile*. I hope the storm not will be to bad.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Beautiful kitty! An added treat on your morning walk.
ReplyDeleteYour last photo...with birds...
My Rupert is a great on for pawing my face. When I take a nap he lays on my chest and paws away at my face, only problem is he doesn't realise that his claws are out. lol
ReplyDeleteFor all that I can't push him off he's so endearing.

Love the cats on the roof...copy cat indeed! So cute! Charlie paw pats my face to wake me up also. That Audrey peeping through the teacups is adorable. Have a great week and I hope the storm isn't too bad. Hugs, Linda
