It's a great tea cake with just a sprinkle of brown sugar on top.
The recipe I found at this blog. I added the sugar. :-}
Martha from Lines from Linderhof found it on another blog and is passing it on to us.
Thanks Martha...it's delish!
"But there's no meat in it so it's highly over-rated."
"Thanks Audrey, but we don't always need your opinion."
"Well, that's just plain rude."
"Hmph!"
hugs, Deb
Audrey, you are darling!
ReplyDeleteWell said Audrey....Not only NO meat...

Hi Deb, thanks for popping over to my blog and your kind comment. Ambrose does a blog for Sundays if I leave the laptop open to him on Saturday nights when we visit the club in our small mining town, East Africa. I LOVE your blog : It's full of CATS!!! Wow! I will definitely follow you and thanks to John for [inadvertently] providing me with another blogger friend. Greetings, Jo (Tanzania)
ReplyDeleteI was so bowled over by your gorgeous cats, I just jumped in and commented. I have added myself as a follower to your lovely blog. I do pottery and about three weeks ago posted about my blue and white mobile which I made for a friend in South Africa. (We have a home in SA as well as live in EA - strange but true!) Apart from being slaves to our three cats here in Tanzania, our household in SA will soon be swelled by two more East African cats whom I sent home to their mother in December last year. (you can read about my cats on Pets Forever/Animal tails etc) We also have a very fat cat, called Chappie who is alone at home in SA until next week when she meets her new cuzzies for the first time. I would love to know how to add photos of our cats in my side-bar; if you can help? Greetings for the second time! Jo
ReplyDeleteBlueberry cake looks delicious. And love Audrey's expressive face. As for rain, we really need it... and it's just starting to cloud up over here. Keep your fingers crossed that we get more than dark clouds and a little rumbling.
ReplyDeleteBut Audrey, that cake has blueberries! That's more than enough compensation!
ReplyDeleteMy Michaela cat would eat that cake even if it doesn't have meat in it. In fact she will eat anything that looks edible, including roses in a vase! She is getting fat and I don't know what to do because she will steal the weirdest things (not to mention my supper) if I don't keep the house 'edible things' free. Feeding the cats has become a policing affair around here or she will push them all away from their bowls and eat it.
ReplyDeleteAudrey ♥
ReplyDeleteThat blueberry cake looks yum!
I just got some fresh blueberries so this would be the perfect time to make one..but it's so hot that I can't bear to turn on the oven even in the morning. It will have to wait.
ReplyDeleteGive the kitties a hug for me.
Jen
