Old Spring photos. :)

After-math of that hideous snow storm we just lived through.
Close to 50 cm of fresh snow fell on Ottawa and the surrounding areas. We got our fairshare at the mouse-house.

I've decided I can't stand this dreary, dark, wet and cold time of year another day. I need colour, warmth and the smell of Spring.
And, so does this black bird.

So, I went through some of my old Spring photos and want to share them with you.
What makes me happy?
Pretty dishes, gorgeous flowers and beautiful cats.

The world is filled with beauty.
daisies; the happiest flower on earth.

Now I feel better.
And
that was fun so I think I will look for more photos.

Spring begins March 20th
that's not far off.

Enjoy your day,
Deb

  1. Deb dear, such a HUGE amount of snow - I really feel for you. However, underneath that heavy white blanket Spring WILL soon be stirring - how blessed that makes us feel! I already see daffodil buds among the leaves growing taller each day - and send them you virtually, lol!

Lovely photos - that makes sense to look back at other years and see what's to come - and soon you'll be taking new ones!

Stay warm and cozy - hugs, Mary x

  2. I hear birds chirping this morning, something that doesn't happen when it's the darkest, coldest part of Winter. That means Spring is coming! Yay! Love your photos!

  3. I don't think we've had that much snow in decades here. Now the shovelling begins, eh?

By the way, what species of flower is that in the cup? It looks like a violet with the colours reversed. One or two grew in my front lawn at my old house.

    1. Thank you. You can tell I'm not floral-minded, though, as the man said about art, "I know what I like".

  5. We really did get hammered by it. I did my share of shoveling when I got home last night. A lot of people are digging out this morning, and most of the sidewalks are left as they are.

  10. We go back and forth...a little ice and cold, then warm temperatures and sunshine. Daffodils are up, but the beds look soggy. Lots of work ahead of me with Spring coming, XOXO

  19. Such beautiful pictures!! I had to laugh at the cat and the violets. I have a beautiful African violet...well, it WOULD be beautiful if the princess Posie cat didn't eat EVERY flower before it even blooms out completely!!! If I put it way up high where she knows she isn't supposed to go....she sits up there and CATerwauls until I go get her down.
    Blessings to you,
    J
