the fragrance of herbs

I've been enjoying my herb garden so far this year. Not only do I use the herbs for cooking but it also makes the kitchen smell great when you have a few sitting around. I have sage and peppermint together and the fragrance is amazing. Someone else seems to be enjoying them. I picked some lemon balm for tea tonight to have with organic honey. Mmmmm
My daughter Allie stopped in after work tonight and we sat around for a long over-due chat. She's been so busy working at a golf course this summer so I haven't seen much of her. Gary was showing off the new barbecue. We have some celebrations coming up soon so I'm sure this new toy will get lots of use.

It is so hot here tonight but soon the days will be getting shorter so we better not complain.

I'll be seeing Buddy and Chase for their last visit tomorrow. I always bring them a little toy on their last visit but I'm thinking maybe a little bag of fresh catnip will be the ticket. :-)

    Hey, Deb! Your daughter is just gorgeous! I'll have to try that combination of herbs - sounds like my kind of fragrance! I cannot believe we're already heading to the shorter and shorter days. I agree. I refuse to complain about heat or humidity (so far! haha). And every time I think about it, I remember this past winter! ... Donna

    Dear Deb, Your daughter just beautiful as you are : ) My mom love herbs too but she is lazy to plant but she plant cat mint for me so I'm no complain : )

    I have basil in the kitchen and Sweet Pea LOVES it, maybe a little too much, ha ha. The new grill looks ready for duty, and your Daughter is looking lovely!

    Your daughter is beauty! And that barbecue looks pretty good too! Do you have any easy recipes to share with us?
    Your husband is really something! Really getting into home life. Many are known to use retirement to play dead on the couch.
