Time to Fall back

It was time to turn back the clocks one hour today. We got an extra hour of sleep if so needed.
Here is an article of interest in the Vancouver Sun.

Annie waited in the french bread basket (which now solely belongs to Annie) for everyone to get up.

Ed waited patiently for the wood-stove to turn on and settled for heat from the register.

Sierra & Audrey slept in while Lily sat by the fridge waiting for breakfast.

                                                                    That first cup. Mmmm
Yesterday was a fun day in Almonte. There was much activity in the little town with shoppers and Christmas Arts and Craft Shows here and there. I guess you can say I have started Christmas shopping.

And, I came home with this guy. He is my 2013 Santa that will join my Santa collection of 30 years.
He is carved wood and has a stressed look.

I know it's too early to talk Christmas but you know how fast time flies.

hugs, Deb

  1. We forgot to change the clocks... so we are a bit 'off' this morning. Love your new Santa. Looks like it's carved out of wood? And love the look in Annie's face... like 'quit taking pictures and feed me'.

  2. Lord but I despise the time change! Annie is looking adorable and Mr. Ed must be happy for the woodstove to be on. I just lit the first fire of the year in our wood/oil furnace and Louise was fascinated. I watched her like a hawk to make sure she didn't jump in the hatch!

  3. That is one of my most favorite things about living in Saskatchewan. No time change to deal with. Hooray!!

  4. Honestly deb i love to talk Christmas. :) I collect snowflakes. I try to purchase a new one every year sometimes i do two for the years i cannot find one i like. I use suction cup hooks and hang them in my windows. It never fails that Christmas always seems to find me living in a desert so no snow for me...i have to make my own. :)

Our boy Jinx goes from lap to lap to keep warm and he will crawl under the covers and sleep at my husbands feet at night. I always thought that odd. Have you heard of many cats that like to sleep under the covers? Hugs! deb

  5. Love how all the cats were waiting for someone to 'serve' them! I really like your Santa for this year. It will be here before we know it for sure.

  6. I love all your cats-but that photo of sweet Annie in the bread basket melts my heart.
Hope Mr. Ed was able to warm up to that wood fire :)
Nice Santa-time flies-it's best to think and plan ahead!

  7. Annie looks very comfortable in her bread basket.

I wish we'd just do away with daylight savings time... it doesn't serve a purpose.

My mother tended to like to collect things like that for Christmas....

  8. I love the photo of Annie in the bread basket--and as a table centerpiece, no less! I'm glad to see that other people's cats do things like that.
