Annie is packing up her favorite blanket to take along to her new digs.
"It just won't be home without it", she thinks.
Audrey has her chewed-up, personalized card-board box, 11 ping-pong balls and some fluff she found on the floor this morning packed and ready at the door.
Sierra and Kane are sleeping and have left it all to fate.
Please keep them in your thoughts. These cats have a lot of adjustment ahead (as does Kane) starting with the 50 minute drive to the lot. *groan*
I'm truly going to miss this ball of sweetness. Rae-Rae is such a good-natured cat. I have really loved having her in our home again. It will be hard to say "good-bye" although I know I will see her often.
I'll miss Joe, too. He's quite the character but my own cats do not care for him so it really is best that he will be staying with Rae-Rae.
I'll be waiting for the internet to get set up while putting things in place. I'm hoping to find a teeny-weeny pantry to hold more food in our little kitchen. I still have to do that.
And the good dishes and pottery will have to be put up high so Audrey doesn't get into it.
You just know she'll be busy checking out every nook and cranny.
I think I need more shelves.
Stay toasty,
Deb
Good luck with the move Deb, I am sure everyone will adjust and there will be lots to look out the windows and watch.

Happy Journey to all!
ReplyDeleteHugs and Purrs......
Good luck and happy trails! The ride to the mouse house will be the worst. My cats never ever rode well in the car. Everyone will adjust and a new life will begin. Look forward to hearing all about the adventure!
ReplyDeleteOh the day is finally here for you! Safe travels and on to home sweet home at The Mouse House. As long as there is a warm place to sleep, the food is plentiful and there is lots of love...Kane and the kitties will adjust to their new home. Best wishes Deb!
ReplyDeleteSafe journey with all your crew! Thinking of you all! Robin
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip, Deb!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be waiting to hear from you and see pictures of the kitties exploring their new home.

It'll be an adjustment. I'm sure Audrey will at least be glad to be rid of Joe and Rae Rae.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a safe and fun move!!! Meow....
ReplyDeleteOh, the drive with cats in carriers. Not fun. But you all will survive. They will have fun exploring for several days. Best of luck and enjoy getting settled!
ReplyDeleteHoping your move will be a smooth transition. I think the kids will adjust as soon as they know you are right beside them to stay.
ReplyDeleteThis is exciting! I love the images you placed today! The little mouse is adorable. Good luck with it all, especially that car ride with complaining cats!!
ReplyDeleteMoving is hard and especially hard on the furry one's but all will settle in and be fine! See you all on the other side. Hugs to all.

Blessings upon this new chapter in all of your lives! You are finally going "Home to Grandma's!". I am sure she would be so pleased for this day to finally come, as would your mom, too.

See you soon....
This was a very cute funny post....

How exciting! The beginning of a new chapter in your adult life which brings you home to the "old" familiar of your childhood years! Safe move and may your hearts fill with all the wonderful memories yet to be made. :)

Our prayers are with you for a safe trip and an easy transition-for all-to your new home.
ReplyDeleteI do hope the adjustment goes well, Deb. I just love watching curious kitties checking out a new space. :-)
ReplyDeleteA totally charming post. Good luck with all the moving and resettling. Glad the Kits will have all their special bits! We'll look forward to hearing of a happy move!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you and your furries. Change is always bumpy for our four-pawed friends (and for us...) but I bet you all will soon be snug and happy in your mouse house!
ReplyDeleteMove! Oh, I know about those, but this was our last...after 17 homes, I've done my time. Good luck, XOXO
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting and a bit scary. Especially for your furkids. I'll bet the cats are going to love all those beautiful birds you have been showing us. And they will have each other and you and your husband. How wonderful that you can live where you spent time at your Grandmother's as a young girl. I have fond memories of Grandma's, too.
ReplyDeleteBig move for everyone! Best wishes for a smooth transition.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I am sure the cats and Kane will adjust well. I think they need their people more than their places. When my four (I had but four living with me then; sigh) moved with me to my new house, they were unnerved during the actual move, of course, but after that, they were all right. They explored, they found their new favourite spots and were content. They adjusted better and faster than I did!
ReplyDeleteJust love those Beatrix Potter illustrations. Hope your move goes well, and you all adjust nicely. Your little kitties will have you with them; that's the most important thing!
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well with your move, Deb! And I really need to see you in person soon!!! :) We miss you.
ReplyDeleteThat Audrey is a mess...11 ping-pong balls! Good luck with the move. It will be fun seeing your posts and pictures from your new place.
