New growth around the mouse-house

Forsythia  at dusk.
Audrey watching the birds arrive.

Look who rolled out from under the bed. :)

Annie

Everything is bursting with life around the property.
The Lilacs are blooming.

The Staghorn Sumac is so pretty.

The Maples are blooming

and the mushrooms are growing.
 I'm at a loss here.
Not sure what this is called.

Should I run screaming?

New grass should soon grow.

What would he do without Kane's help.

We've had some rain. Now, the sun is shining bright.
There is so much new growth at the mouse-house.

    Pay attention..Then go tell Mum...
    I think the mushrooms growing on the tree stump..
    Are actually called Bracket Fungi or Shelf Fungi..
    The grouping is known as Conks...There are 100's
    neah! 1,000's of varieties of fungi...I know a little
    about them, but, l'ml no expect...Only eating them! :).

    Morning Deb....
    Those mushrooms are actually called "Conks"....
    They grow on dead wood or decaying wood....
    Love your Staghorn Sumac!!
    They are gorgeous in the Fall...and I have also seen the Plumes added to Christmas outdoor planters....awesome!
    My Likacs are still tight buds....perhaps this weekend...
    Breezy here today...expecting the Tree guy, to trim my Maples!

    Glad to read that they are Conks! We have some growing on our wood pile that I just saw last night and wondered if they were a mushroom or what!

    Is it really possible that Spring has arrived?!? Every year, I eagerly cut some lilac blooms to arrange on the table...then shortly remove those blooms because the heavenly smell is too strong...overpowering even! I'll try some lily-of-the-valley in a few days.

    Everything looks like it is coming along just wonderfully there ! My Lilacs are almost in bloom , things seem a bit behind this year but soon all will be in full bloom ! Lovely photos ! Sunny but chilly winds for us here . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !

    Everything is looking so pretty there. I love the Lilacs and have never grown one. Looks like spring is there to stay this time.

    Spring has finally arrived! We got some much needed rain last night(along with a power outage due to a lightening strike) and cooler temperatures today. Annie and Audrey look very content.

    Love all that new growth at the mouse house. The fungi is cool and I loved that others knew what it was called. It's sunny and warm here and the flowers are blooming!

    I'm so glad to see that things are happening there for you! I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mum in law. I know you will miss her. The photo of her laugh is wonderful. I also enjoyed the beautiful tribute to your own Mother. She sounds like she was a great lady. I'm so glad that I kept on reading and learned about your kitty friend Dave. Now THAT is a remarkable story. I always knew you had a very special way with cats, but that just transcends! (Glad you like my new teacup!)

    You seem to have lovely, fertile soil; lucky you!
    Our furry friends are such loyal helpers in the garden; our cats even act like doggies most of the time.
    Those mushrooms are NOT poisonous, just enjoy looking at them. They will slowly digest the old tree trunk.

    Love the lilacs and sumac. Do you also have forsythia growing there, or did you cut it from somewhere else? Getting the grass growing will be nice to make the mouse house feel more finished! Isn't spring wonderful?
