  6. This news has saddened me greatly this morning dear Deb. I know how hard this is for you as Audrey was such a special girl and brought so much joy into your life. In turn, you gave her a beautiful, safe, comfy home, with views from your windows to keep her busy birdwatching, and with forest friends often visiting too.
May she now rest peacefully while you remember her with much love always.
Stay strong - it is hard I know.
    Hugs - Mary X

  10. Oh my God, Deb, I am so so sorry for your devastating loss.
I have no words to express how sad reading this had made me.
We all loved your Audrey at a distance and know that you would not yet be able to share and express your pain.
You gave her the very best life she could have hoped for and I am sending you the biggest virtual hug while trying to hold back tears.

  13. Oh Deb, I am so very sorry. What a special kitty cat Audrey was. She brought so much joy to so many of us, and the two of you together, well what a special pair! Just keep in your heart and mind what a good life she had because of you, and now she is resting with no more dizziness or bad old medicine. Don't think I've ever actually cried over someone's else's pet before but now I am. Love you Deb. Will sure be thinking of you and sweet Annie.

  15. I read this unwelcome news with tears for a cat I never met in 'real' life. Yet, over Audrey's years you have shared her engaging ways and her personality in such a way that I feel I have known her. Audrey was one of those creatures whose presence was far larger than cat-size; it is the 'naughty' ones who steal our hearts.
As I recall my own cats whose lives were too short, I wonder, again, if our efforts to nurture a 'stray' or the offspring of a neglected mother cat, are sometimes defeated by the seed of--something--some deprivation that can't be totally overcome by the later good nourishment and veterinary care which we supply.
I know too the pain of the slowly dawning realization that all has been done that can be done and the decline of health continues.
Surely no cats could have been more loved and cherished from the day you brought Annie and her babies into your home and your heart.
Beautiful Audrey--what a huge empty spot your passing has left.

  46. Deb I am so so so sorry for your loss. I haven't been by in a long time, the last I think I read was that she had seizures and they had her on medicine. I came by tonight and sure didn't expect to see this. I want you to know that I enjoyed her so much on your blog....her PERSONALTIY and expressions made me laugh so so many times! It's like her attitude would just jump right through the computer screen. You will miss her so much and I'm so sorry you have lost her. The animals bring us SO MUCH JOY!!---and it hurts SO MUCH to have to tell them good-bye. My Gypsy passed in February and I miss her so much. I pray that you will have comfort and peace in this sad time.
