tea-cups & fun with Chase

I love tea-cups....but you knew that already.

I have many from my mother's collection and I will always keep them.

I don't use them at all but I love to bring them out and look at them once in awhile.

It was +31 today and hazy.

Not much can be done in this weather. I did manage to purchase a sweet thing for my office which I will show you as soon as it is delivered. It's for holding my scrap-booking/cat-sitting paper-work but at one time, maybe 100 years ago, it was a wash-stand.  I'm thinking outside the box again. Can't wait to replace some old plastic file cupboards. BE GONE!
When you walk by the island today you can smell the fresh fragrance of  Peppermint & Lemon Balm. I'll enjoy this until the cats eat it.
Chase (from Bud & Chase...the 2 crazy cats)  wants to say "howdy"
We had an all-out play-fest this morning and then he crashed on the couch only to pop back up for a quick photo.

I love this guy. He is fun, energetic and so smart (albeit he does need to work on his hiding skills when we play hide & seek)
"GOTCHA"
hugs, Deb

  1. Chase looks like a sweet and silly boy; the last pic is especially cute. :-)

Mom always told me that tea tastes better in a fine bone china cup. She was right, though I seldom use the few I have. I do have a couple of bone china mugs, however, and use one daily.

We lucked out here today, I guess, with the humidex at 32C at the airport. Probably warmer here in town. Still, with no a/c, it's not fun in the house. LOL.

    Stay cool!

  2. It's the dead give-away tail...I'm longing to go home from work for a cup of tea myself.
    We're at 37 C but only 10% humidity, it's delightful outside!

  3. Love your tea-cups - I adore pretty china.
We've had similar temperatures today and ALL the cats have been snoozing indoors in the cool shade! It's been unbearable.
    Lovely kitty images Deb.

  4. You have so many pretty tea cups Deb! Tea always tastes better out of pretty cups I think.

It is a hot one here today too. So glad we have air conditioning!

Banjo has eaten out of his cute little dish twice now. We will have photos on Monday! :)

    Keep enjoying your weekend!

  5. What a lovely blog you have - and such gorgeous pictures of all your cats !! I am your latest follower.
Thank you so much for your kind comments on my blog about my wonderful cat Gibson . It really was on of the hardest decisions, and you are right, there does come a point where you have to weigh up the pain and discomfort they are in, and your wish to keep them with you at all costs.Ultimately, they should basically be comfortable at least and poor Gibson was really getting more and more ill with no chance of improvement.
Thank you again - I can't tell you how much your comments help.XOXO .Bea

  8. Here in Sweden it´s just + 15 Celsius today and rainy. I wonder where the summer went ??!!
Lovely tea-cups you are showing us today !!!
My mom just loved the black one with pink flowers !
It´s my tail too that gives me away when I play hide and seek with mom :(
Chase seems to be a very nice cat !

  9. Whose lovely striped tail do we see? Is that you, Chase? Since we found you, do we get to cuddle you and give you a kiss?
Such beautiful tea cups! Why do they always take us to a kinder, gentler place. I don't think I've ever seen a black one before. So elegant (like the photo of your mum). How enjoyable it must be to watch the flowers on the onside of the cup become more visible as one drinks their tea.
Have a great day. Kiss the kitties for us, please.

  11. I think this week is going to be a scorcher!
I have all my Mum's teacups. Need to do something with them.
ANd I have different mint plants growing all around my beehives. I love it. When I tend my bees, it smells like mint and honey all the time. And the bees love the mint flowers. They are all over the catnip when it blossoms, too.

    Stay cool this week!
