Campbell comfort

The cat beds are scattered around the deck and one in front of the wood-stove. They have cozy warm blankets in them (it is actually cool today) and high sides made of wicker. When I put them together for the cats I did it with love and knew that I would benefit from this by watching them sleep and listen to their purr.

Then we bought soup; Campbell's soup. Cans were stocked away in the pantry for those recipes that call for their famous mushroom soup and the box was strewn on the table. The bed that once held a tubby tabby is empty now and I don't hear the soft little snores and purrs coming from the living-room. The kitchen holds the snoring cat and I expect I will never be able to throw this out.
Old habits die hard
...off to see what's new with the homeless Siamese kitty. Fingers crossed...
hugs, Deb

  1. Deb,
I so know what you mean! Whenever we get a box in the house, we go to throw it away, but then there will be a cat in it, so it has to stay for awhile!

  7. I also have to wait a bit before throwing away a box if Charlie has taken a shine to it. He will move on to a new one eventually and I throw one out...well it goes in the re-cycling bin. It's been rainy here today but not cool.

  12. What an adorable position! Just look at how much enjoyment a simple box can bring. There is a lesson to be learned here ( taught to us by a very precious teacher).
