Less junk & more dishes

Gary is purging the shed (Yah!)...that wasn't good enough."YAH!" You see, it's all his junk so it should go.
I'm big on no clutter (unless it's dishes I love) so this suits me fine. While he was out there he found a small box full of glasses and some dishes so of course I had to go through it. Some are going to the thrift shop but these I'll keep.

A hand-painted wine glass, 8 chrystal juice glasses, a glass dish & silver salt & pepper shakers.

And he found this old medicine cabinet. "Please mirror...don't crack"
I'm going to 'fix it up'
Great little shelves inside & hardware still attached.

These two have found each other again and are becoming inseparable.
I still have never figured out what happened a month or so ago to have Lily want nothing to do with Ed after them having such a love affair for years. But, it's over now and the love is alive and well. Nice to see.

The air smells like Fall is very close and the trees are changing colour. The Siamese kitty is gone to his new home where he will begin a life with 2 new loving owners. I am so  happy for him.
Do you remember Puffin? She, too, was adopted yesterday from Shelly's foster home. A very good home for her. Shelly is thrilled and on her way right now to pick up another cat from the shelter to foster. The mother cat and kittens at Shelly's are doing well. I have yet to get photos but I will.

Have a great day and enjoy the weather. Kane and I are back from a long walk where there was no ragweed.

hugs, Deb

  2. Hi Deb,
Thank you for stopping by our blog today! : ) Katie's heart skipped a beat at first...you see you share a name with her cat sitter. The DREADED cat sitter. But she soon realized you were not that kind of Deb. : )

    Love your shed finds!

  4. Glad to hear that the two kitties found homes. I still haven't found homes for my 3 kittens. I am getting a little worried too. With 3 kittens we now have 9 cats and the next door neighbor does not like cats, but he wouldn't harm them though. I am just afraid he will complain. Honestly, it is illegal for us to have 9 cats. I will keep you posted.
    Hugs, Sue

  7. isn't it fun to find treasures in your own house? Can't wait to see what you do with the medicine cabinet.

Ohhhh I LOVE the photo to the right of this comment where you are kissing the kitty who is on his hind legs!

  8. Where did these lovely treasures come from? Bought and forgotten, inherited? My mum always has beautiful juice glasses when I was growing up. She was an artist and thought that beautiful things generated beautiful ideas. With her Alzheimer's, all of her cristal fell prey to neglect and poor handling. Gosh, I wish I had it now. Fresh squeezed juice( a big thing with my dad) in a beautiful glass. Simple and elegant; visually beautiful and easy!
The sweethearts are together again! Thank God in heaven! It was so hard on poor, precious Ed and almost as hard on me! I was crushed! How could anyone reject the love of this very precious boy?
But all is well in the world: the Siamese has found a home and Lily is in love with Ed again. ( I can sleep care free... Well, relatively).
