Toady

My heart is heavy today after being told that we have lost Toady. Toady was a kitty-client of mine and he managed in a very short time to work his way into my heart. He passed away from liver cancer at the age of 12.
My thoughts are with his owners as he was a very loved family member.

I can't stop the tears today.
God Speed Toady-boy.

hugs, Deb

  12. This is so hard on you after just losing Cali. Sometimes the best thing to do is have a good cry as part of the grieving process. I think the death of our cats, and pets in general, is so hard to bare is that they love us unconditionally. are always willing to listen to our problems, are endlessly entertaining & always know when we need their companionship. I don't know any humans who meet all these needs. The only expectation cats have from us is a plate of foood and some attention - what a deal. While I know my cats appear to plot & scheme, I know they are innocent creatures who we feel are the least deserving of illness, pain and death.
Cali & Toady lived better lives because you cared for them and I know you feel the same way. Take care and soon the tears will be replaced with wonderful memories.

  16. Oh, Deb! I'm so sorry! I'm crying too! Even though we only knew Toady through your blog, we fell in love with his sweet face, so delightfully marked and the warmth and love he radiated. When you wtote about him, we felt as if an old friend had come to visit.
When one of my cats passes, we have a special candle that we light. We will light this candle for
Toady. God speed, dear boy. We love you.
