I`ll dry.

There is no shortage of 'dryers' after dinner dishes are washed up in the mouse-house.

It was with great hesitation, I agreed (finally) to forgo a dishwasher as space was very limited.
Having the big kitchen window with the view of the feeders makes washing dishes much less a chore. And...are you sitting down?...the retired-guy doesn't mind taking his turn. He has to...his idea. ;-)
I always have company while I clean up and Sierra likes to play after in the bubbles.
So, it's really not that bad. It will be even less of a chore when we install our counter top next week.
I just have to find time to shop.

Still no tenants in the bird house but there seems to be a lot of interest today. 5 more days 'til Spring.

hugs, Deb

  1. Sierra, like Audrey has an unusual face. I love those dark lines and her little mouth. Cats are just beautiful creatures!! We also left out the dishwasher for more cabinet space when we built the cabin. It's okay until everyone is here for a holiday and every dish in the house is dirty.

  2. I'm no birder but my mum was before her Alzheimer's took everything away. Supposedly, different types of birds like their houses at different heights. Maybe you could check at what height the type of bird you are trying to attract likes their houses.
Could not live without a dishwasher. I use too much water and can't use hot enough water, especially in cold or flu season. Besides,I hate doing dishes!

  3. I realize the counters aren't in yet, but that natural wood looks pretty good, too! :)

I think I value dishwashers as much for washing the dishes as having somewhere to put the dirty ones in the meantime.

  5. Ugh, I hate washing dishes. Our old dishwasher broke the day before this past Thanksgiving. Awful timing.

We have sparrows in our two family birdhouse....and then seem quite, um "busy" if you know what I mean. Enjoy your day!

  8. So nice to have the company. My kit kat is a afraid of his own shadow. The only one he will come to is me and that is usually when I am sewing or on the puter. I am having a give a way over at my place, please check it out.

I like watching the birds and critters out my window when doing dishes as the window faces the valley we are on a bit of higher ground so we look a bit down into the valley it is soo relaxing and pretty . 11. Such a pretty kitty! My cats are always volunteering to do the dish washing, with their scratchy tongues! Makes meal cleanup easy!

  13. I like having cat company when I do my dishes, too. Two of my four cats find the process fascinating. The other two aren't interested if there isn't any food involved. You may be onto a good thing with the retired guy taking on kitchen chores.
