Oh, Joy!

(Out the mouse-house window)

I'm getting tired of writing this line...
"Oh joy, it snowed all day."
We are only a week away from Easter and it looks like January out there again.
My poor resident birds are beginning to look a bit tired.
This must be so confusing for them to have spring weather one day and a snow-storm the next.
We are finding it very tedious. I went for my walk yesterday morning and got caught in a snow-squall. Lovely.

It's was a good day to work inside and watch a movie.
Tea in a funny pottery mug lifted the spirits.
Well, for a few minutes, maybe.

First, I filled the feeders to bring some joy to our Chickadees.
They were glad when I told them tomorrow brings some sun.
I'll just asked them not to hold me to that forecast.

If you are playing in your gardens or watching the tulips grow, count yourself lucky.

hugs, Deb

The clocks go on an hour to~night...Hour less in bed.
Still have to go to bed an hour earlier...HeHe! Wish
they'd leave the clocks alone. Just taken me 40mins
to go round and do all mine!

Never mind....I'll just pop back to the previous post and
    have a chuckle....Morn'in Audrey!x

  2. Returned five days ago from a much, much too short week in Florida.
I was encouraged by tiny patches of brown here and there.
Now, like you, I'm watching it snow.

  3. I'm watching snow, too! It's 19F degrees this morning! A good day to snuggle inside for sure!

  4. I'm one of the lucky one's I admit. That's what I get for living in the South :) Still it's chilly out there today but compared to snow it's down right balmy! cuddle up, enjoy a movie, this too shall pass.
    hugs,

  5. Here in England it is April type showers but during the week it was so cold. I was going to go out and have forage in the charity shops, but after rescuing my washing from the line at least twice I called it a day and had a cup of tea! Tonight we put our clocks forward one hour so we will be catching up with ourselves all day. The poor birds are busy courting; do hope the Spring comes to stay soon. Much love, just love your little house. Love Andie xxx

  6. You do seem to be getting it much worse than we are. We're down to brown, muddy grass -- but it is grass and today the sun is out. I'm having trouble luring birds to my feeder -- the woodpeckers and squirrels seem extremely happy but hoping the others come on a more regular basis. Lizzie is getting antsy!

I wonder what she (or your girls) would have thought of the big owl on my post today! I hope those are the last snow shots I have to share! But you never can tell. Sure do hope yours stops soon!

  8. It is perplexing, isn't it? The same, of course, was happening here in the city yesterday.

  9. Well at least the sun is shining here in the Niagara Region. The kitties have both found a sunny sill to lay on.
I think we are anxious for the arrival of some more Spring-like weather. I have about an inch of some snowdrops and crocus visible in the garden so it shouldn't be long now.
    Enjoy the weekend.

  10. ... and this is why I don't like to read blogs in March and April. Ok, let's face it, even May is problematic. :( So I'm glad to see some snow pictures here.

  11. I know it is frustrating isn't it? The birds are ok as long as they have food then they dont care what the weather lol ! Love your feeder . Sunny but cold here today ! Next week looks like it is going to get to the temps it should be and above 0 for the nights at least down here and plenty of sunshine to so that's ok I can handle that lol ! Lovely photos . I am glad you are enjoying your feathered friends they are so amazing aren't they? Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !

  12. The weather is especially hard on the birds. Their winter stores are depleted and nothing has come in to replace them yet.

  15. We just have to be brave and know spring will eventually get here. I'm not sure if I dislike the snow days or the ankle deep in mud days the most.
