Signs of Spring.

The first nap of the morning. The sun streamed through the windows and filled the mouse-house with warmth.
With full tummies from breakfast it was time for that first nap of the day.
But naps are short and the birds are very noisy as the winter chill disappears and a promise of spring is in the air.

We are hoping to catch sight of our resident rabbit again.

I had a visit from a Pileated Woodpecker again yesterday. I expect it is the same one that showed up last month. Perhaps it will hang around now and brighten up my feeders.

We have a few signs of Spring in the air. Snow and icicles are melting fast as the sun warms up and there are more visits daily from our local birds. They seem to be quite excited these last few days. A beautiful pair of cardinals were early visitors this morning along with a pair of doves.
Oh yes, the crows are here, too.  haha!

hugs, Deb

I'm envious of your pileated woodpecker. We have them in our woodlot but it's been a while since I've seen one. Amazing birds!
