Christmas & a birthday

We had the most beautiful day yesterday. The sun shone and it felt like Spring with just a nip in the air. Crazy weather.
                                                       Lily

Gary took Riley out for a stroll while her mommy gave me a new do. Cut, colour & style. I won't show you but take my word for it...I look better.

I have started my Christmas shopping and will remind you all it is only 51 days away. I always had a hard time getting into Christmas shopping until my youngest had celebrated her birthday. Allie will be 25 on November 29th and she will not be home to celebrate. At this moment she is in Bolivia. Who knows where she'll be by her birthday. I'm not liking it but that's life, I guess. I made sure she had a little gift tucked away in her back-pack to open from her mom and dad on her day. She said she promised not to peak until then. It's just so she knows we are thinking of her and miss her. And by the way, she's having a blast.

Speaking of having a blast, Annie is digging her new-found freedom.
She found another bedroom to sprawl out in and this one doesn't have little rug-rats chewing on you.
She's not too impressed with that dog blanket on the floor, though.
                                                             ("Oh yes, this will do")

hugs, Deb

  2. Deb,
Annie is sweet, but oh those gray kittens just make my heart sing. I have so enjoyed watching them grow. It is a good thing you live so far away.
    Hugs,

  3. I feel a bit bad that my fosters don't get to sleep on a bed. It is one of the things I promise them when I send them back to the shelter to be neutered. I know it is traumatic so I promise them the love and adoration of their new owners and a big ol bed to sleep on..

  5. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and for your comment. I couldn't find the comment box on your last post but, wanted to say, what a treasure to have from your mother! I love the silverware pattern! I'm glad to hear that you use your pretty things. I use mine too at any opportunity - they are not just to look pretty!

  6. Miss Annie does look happy having little adventures by herself. We hope she finds a good home too, with someone to give her lots of love.

  7. Isn't Annie the most perfect kitty for your lovely bed cover! Wonderfully colour coordinated. We all would just love to plop on that very inviting bed and cuddle that most inviting kitty!
We bet Annie is so happy and appreciative to have the warm, loving and caring home she's always dreamed of having. Just watch her lovely eyes loose their tinge of sadness as she begins to realize her dreams have come true.
