Another Easter over

Well, another Easter is over and I need to put my feet up. For a few minutes, anyway. We had our dinner today so that everyone could be here. Lucky for me, most of my cat-clients returned home last night. Whew! No catastrophes..it was a wonderful weekend.

11 kitties and 2 bunnies kept me on the road most of the weekend and, of course, I've been getting ready for the traditional Easter dinner at our home with the whole immediate family which is 8 adults and Riley. (Soon to be one more)

The table was set for a sit-down dinner.

Sure, flowers are pretty but we have to make it fun, too. 

And I noticed many bloggers were baking cakes this year for their festive table so I whipped up a coconut cake and decorated it  to please both the coconut and the chocolate lovers.

Then it was time for an Easter egg hunt with Riley in the lead.

After dinner, Gramps and Riley put the good silver away.

It's wonderful to have the family growing, with a new grand-child arriving this September.

 Growing in leaps and bounds as we also celebrated the engagement of our oldest daughter, Jess and her fiance, Mike. I guess he doesn't find us all too weird if he wants to join the family. We love you, Mike.  So, looks like another amazing year ahead.

Some people in our town know how to 'do up' Easter. I love driving by this home.
