a little time

We said good-bye to our beautiful Lily today. I need a little time before I can do a tribute to her. She was such a wonderful cat and my heart is broken.

    Deb - I just want to tell you how saddened U am to hear about sweet Lilly's passing. I know just how heartbroken your are, because my dear companion, Toby, lost her struggle with cancer just a few days ago at age of 25. Those of us who loves cats recognize how special they are to us & how that unique relationship has added richness to our lives, but it is only after they are gone that we fully grasp how much unconditional love we received from that precious personality clothed in fur. They are the ones we confide in, tell our dreams & fears to and each one is a beloved family member who's passing deserves to be mourned with every bit the intensity they showed their love for us. Each day we have with with our companion is a gift never to be taken for granted. The greatest gift Lilly ever received was knowing, every day she lived with you, just how much she was loved & valued as a member of your family. Please know that you are in my thoughts & prayers,

    Deb, my heart is aching for you right now. Hearing of any beloved animal who has said farewell brings back our own grief and helps us understand so completely your deep sense of loss. You have my wishes for peace and healing, super cyber hugs and yes, even tears. Sweet Lily will, I think, have more lives to share with others someday, but none who would love her so much as you.

    Deb, I am so sorry for the passing of your Lily. I know you loved her very much and that she knew it, too. How wonderful for her to have come from a the previous sad place to a home of security, safety and especially daily love with you and your family. She was so blessed. Thank you for all the extra care you have given her in these last two years.

    I sent love to her little nurse maid, Annie, too. I know she will be missing her.
