Winter Wonderland

We had a day of snow falling from early morning 'til early evening. I spent much of the day shovelling the drive-way and enjoying the birds at the feeders. No sooner would I have the drive-way shovelled when it would fill up with snow once again. But it was so beautiful outside with the soft snow falling and the temperature hovering around -7C that I didn't mind a bit.

Gold Finch
Wood-pecker

Chickadee

A winter wonderland today.

Chickadee

The south end of a Chickadee heading north

It was just brought to my attention that there is neither a cat nor a tea-cup in this post.

"Sorry, Audrey. I'll pay better attention to that next time."
Stay toasty,
Deb

  4. Audrey expects things to be just so.

The woodpecker looks very distinctive among these birds.

  8. Brrrrrr! I wouldn't be able to handle your cold weather. I've been down here in s.e. FL since 1960.

The photos are beautiful and I love the blur of wings in that last photo of birds.

Of course, it is always wonderful to see Miss Audrey. She does look a little disgruntled in that photo. :-)

I bet you can hardly wait to move in to your new place. Have fun picking paint colors.

  11. So many feeders! We have quite a few, but I'm beginning to think you have one per bird!
Snow here as well. With another storm scheduled for the beginning of next week.
I'm going to have to cut off all communication with my friends in Florida.

  12. Some excellent pictures. I like the one of the chickadee in flight. And what a morose expression Audrey is wearing!

  13. Beautiful post! I absolutely love your bird feeders. The wooden one is so beautiful. I think I'm going to get a nice cup and saucer to make a feeder like yours. I just love it.
