My favorite Easter table

I've always loved dressing a table for Easter.
This was my 2012 table all set for Easter
dinner.

Our little Riley was 2 years old.

Our mouse-house will be quiet this Easter as we celebrate
at our son's new home.
It will feel different after hosting Easter dinner for 30 years.
Unless you are a mouse, it would be a very tight squeeze here.
I know it will be a fun time with all the grandittles.
I'm so looking forward to it.

The winter coat is put away today.
Fingers crossed I won't have to see it for a very long time.

hugs, Deb

  1. Hi Deb! Your Easter tables are so pretty! It will be a change for you not hosting this year but look at it as a time to relax a little more and enjoy all of your family! I'm glad to hear it's warming up your way. It's trying to here too but we still have so much snow. I'm ready for it to be gone! Happy Easter.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  2. Here's hoping that winter coat stays in the closet for many months! Mother Nature surprised us yesterday with snow...an April Fool's joke a day early, it seems.

  6. Yes, relax and enjoy. We celebrated Thanksgiving at my son's house instead of ours for the first time this past Thanksgiving... and although different, it was fun (time to pass the torch). Your Easter decorations are wonderful. I love all the Easter stuff.. so colorful and pretty (pastel blues and pinks are my favorite colors anyway).
And these grandkiddies grow up so fast...

  7. Such a pretty table. I am planning Easter dinner here unless we end up at the hospital with a new baby. We take each day as it comes right now. Exciting times waiting for a new baby. Enjoy your Easter with family!

  9. Oh Deb, I so enjoyed seeing those photos again. Beautiful... as is the family around that table. I am glad the family will be gathered again this Sunday. Blessings to you all - including the Little furry ones. (I still think of Joe now and then. : ) Bet Audrey doesn't!)

    Love

  11. WARM Easter wishes to you & your whole family.

Yep, after 30 years, time to let the kids host ( they are older than you were when you started hosting:-). New traditions, new memories - bittersweet. Gail

  12. A beautiful table it was, too. I wonder if your son and his wife are as anxious about their first big family Easter dinner as you and your husband were, thirty years ago.
