We adopted our Siamese, Mr. Ed from the same shelter 2 years ago. He was close to death from malnutrition and had all his teeth removed from infection. He was half the weight he should have been and could barely walk. Here is what he looked like the day I brought him home after seeing him on their website. He was listed at 20 years of age.  He had been one of 47 cats brought in from a raid on a cat-hoarder's home. The family of the 'hoarder' said that he had been with this woman for 20 years that they could remember.

This photo makes me cry
He's looking and feeling like he should now.

He's quite the fella
Rae-Rae (9 months) "Mr. Ed, do you ever wonder why it rains"

Mr. Ed (21 years) "Sweetie, when you reach my age it's just another reason to nap."

hugs, Deb

  1. Adopting a four legged friend from a shelter is a beautiful thing to be sure. The gift you receive from an animal is priceless! Keeping my fingers crossed that these beautiful girls find a loving home soon!
