Busy week behind me.

Wow..it's been a busy week. I've had lots of cat-sitting but not that many cats. You see, many of my clients like morning and evening visits so that takes up most of the day. This week I cared for 7 cats and 3 of them have 2 visits a day. They are usually the older cats, cats on medication or single cats that are very used to having people home all day such as retired folks.

Here are my charges this past week.
                                                                  Toady
                                                            (He had me at "Hello")
Smudge
                                                                       Bagheera
                                                  Ebony
                                                      Otis & Lola
                                                    Rosie

I'm really beat. I think I am just now feeling the frenzy of our quick trip to Newfoundland  and all the excitement surrounding it. I can't wait to see the professional photos of Jess and Mike's wedding ceremony.

I'm going to be busy all weekend, too. Winding down with some kitty-clients only to pick up keys for the next lot of home-alone cats. It is the end of summer and everyone is squeezing the life out of the last couple of weeks. The hot weather is back in Ontario and along with it comes the humidity. I expect it will be the last time we will use the air-conditioning. I'm looking forward to throwing a log in the wood-stove, sweaters, wool socks and hot chocolate. I know...I'm nuts.

Have a great weekend everyone. I hope you have lots of laughs.

Susan from http://mymothersapronstrings.blogspot.ca/ asked what kind of cake I made yesterday. I'll post that and the recipe next week.

Hugs, Deb

  1. Yeah! Autumn has crept in and our nights are in the upper 40s! Definitely got our the wool socks and had a cup of cocoa at 4:30 this morning because I was cold! Stay cool, XOXO

    Hey, Toady (hugs)
I'm wishing for all my crazy heart for the cool, crisp (invigorating) days of autumn.
Now back to making some homemade iced tea for this hot, hazy and humid day *sigh* :(

  4. Rosie looks like they need to move the food bowl a bit farther away. But hell, if Rosie saw me, she'd probably say the same thing!

  5. When I was a kid we had a black cat name Smudge, then again as an adult, another cat named Smudge, also black.
I can't believe the 'home alone' cats you have in your town.
