My photos from the ceremony

After the pre-wedding photos were taken (I'll wait for the professional ones to post) Jess & Mike's wedding ceremony was held at Cape Spear in St. John's, Newfoundland. Cape Spear is the most easterly point of land in Canada. The oldest surviving lighthouse is situated at this point.

We ditched our heels and grabbed our sandals.

It looked like it might rain so no time was wasted.
I didn't take photos of The Vows. The dark clouds started to roll in.

The happy couple
(the rain held off and it turned out perfect)
We even stayed awhile longer

I was the photographer here. I was pleased with these photos but I can't wait to see the professional ones coming soon.  I know Jess and Mike were very happy with their day. She wanted it simple, intimate with no fuss. She knew exactly where she wanted to exchange her vows. Then we headed to Portobello's for a lovely dinner and then to the famous George Street to party. I can't exaggerate how wonderful the people of Newfoundland are. Oh my God, I just love them. Congratulations and drinks were flowing and everyone felt so welcomed. It's a fabulous place to visit.  "Make plans, everyone."

hugs, Deb

    1. Yes I am home and right back to cat-sitting. My gang was very happy to see me in the kitchen this morning. Audrey has followed me everywhere today like a shadow. Good to be home but I am certainly going back to Newfoundland.

  6. I don't normally notice these things, but her dress is just gorgeous! I'm not one for finery, but that dress hit the mark and she is a radiant bride. Good looking couple. And excellent photographer, I might add!

  10. Beautiful photos!! I would move to Newfoundland, no problem. I tried to convince Gordon of that while we were living in Nova Scotia but no luck. Our next-door neighbours there were Newfoundlanders on both sides. BEST PEOPLE EVER!!!!!

What a gorgeous wedding. Glad the rain held off!
