My blogging friend, Snap from http://twistylane.blogspot.ca/ thought of Audrey when she saw this so I'm sharing it. I doubt AA will care...she's shameless.
This morning after jumping on the bed, bounding from window sill to duvet, she finally gave up trying to get me up way too early and decided to sharpen her nails on my bottom dresser drawer. How does she know what will have me bolt up and jump from a warm bed only to have her high-tail it out the bedroom door and head for the food jars?
I'm hiding the pens as I am sure 'the explainin' will be a bunch of hog-wash. And I know she'll be rude to Santa.
Everything was covered in ice as the big, white, fluffy snowflakes fell all day. The driving was treacherous. It has either been freezing rain falling or snow for 2 days. Oh well, all my kitty-clients are comfy and snug in their homes and were happy to see the stressed-out cat-sitter arrive, even if I was late.
Audrey has enjoyed watching the snow-fall and spends much of her time in the front window.
It's so peaceful around here when she is distracted for hours.
The cats are sitting on the back of the couch waiting for the sun. This was taken awhile back and since they have good memories they are hopeful again today.

Well, things are speeding up to past-Go and I am on the road most of the day getting from house to house. Oh my goodness, wait ' til you see some of these beauties. You will recognize many but I have some gorgeous guys to show you. G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. And they all love me....Woo Hoo! Not one is hiding under the bed. :)
I am covered in cat-hair these days but have my well-worn clothes brush tucked inside the cat-bag. I just might run into a friend, you know, and have to go for a Christmas coffee.
Happy Day!
hugs, Deb
I'm covered in cat hair too...this sweetie of a cat that we have is definitely a lap lover! She snuggles with you and could be painted 24 hours/day. Rosie brings us happiness, laughter, and a purpose. Seeing your beauties made me realize what I was missing, XOXO
ReplyDeleteHi Deb: We are supposed to get snow tomorrow, but not too much. First snowfall is always exciting. Maggie had an infection in one of her nails so is on antibiotics and boy, does she hate us right now. She never tries to scratch or bite but, my oh my, can she howl..Have a good evening..Judy
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Audrey is not worried about Santa. After all, she has you! :D Stay safe in the snow. Hugs---
ReplyDeleteThanking God for the snow so Audrey gives you some peace but do be careful on the road. I know all the kitties love you!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
We'd be laughing if our fire was fuelled by coal...just saying!

Heheh! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteCats can be very inventive about the morning persuasion--if 'charming' doesn't nudge us from bed, then 'naughty' will do it!
ReplyDeleteIn Wyoming several of my cats were snow-watchers. Charlie [who isn't bright] would smack his paw at the snowflakes which slid down the outside of the window.
The cats are adorable!! Audrey looks entranced by the outdoors :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments -- as you can see, Lizzie is settling in quite well! And the tree still stands. Sharpening the claws on the bottom of the dresser? That's quite the technique -- I can see why it works! So, will there be a lump of kitty-coal for that one? I think not!
ReplyDeleteAudrey so reminds me of my Hunter. What a pest he could be. From kittenhood his thing was climbing up whatever item got him within reach of a photo or painting on the wall and then swinging it. He never actually knocked any off the wall but he would bounce them on the wall, (that would get me up) and the claw markes in the good wood frames would have me skreching at him. Never did any good, nor did a spray bottle from 10 ft, he never quit doing it, just a bit less as he got older. And the scratching on the dresser, he did that too. Only reason he lived as he was such a lover the rest of the time! The ones with the personallity are the treasures... Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are safely making it around to all the kitties. I am sure they do love you a bunch. God Bless and keep you on your rounds!
I love seeing AA in gazing intently at the snow. Bless her little heart!
Love to all,
Lily, WA, USA
The snow is so pretty! I love to see it, but I don't like to drive in it! So it's best when I just see photos of snowy settings :)
ReplyDeleteAudrey is a devil, but she does look sweet watching the snowflakes. I WANT SNOW HERE! My camera is thoroughly vexed at the lack of white stuff, but I have to agree with you about driving in it - I hate it too. Love that line-up of kitties on the back of the sofa. Stay safe when you're out and about.
ReplyDeleteDear Deb, sounds like things are just as they should be at your place! The snow looks really beautiful but please be safe on the road when you go and look after those gorgeous felines :-) Love, purr and hugs from Greece,
ReplyDeleteJoan
I feel for you having to get around on snowy icy roads, always nerve-wracking, especially with wild, fast drivers.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas graphics are so sweet.
