7:15am, coffee in hand and out the door to cat-sit. I do believe I was the only one up as the town was so quiet while I drove down the main drag. Too early to have to listen to some singer (if you could call him that) butchering Silent Night on the radio. I needed another coffee after that. I was greeted by this little doll when I reached my destination. With wide eyes and the perkiness of someone who has been up for hours, she began to chat and whirl and welcome me into her home....especially the kitchen. :) This is Rosie.
Rosie is Queen of her home. Well, I guess so! She collects ping-pong balls. I told her I collect tea-pots and she thought that was silly.
"Show us your adorableness, Rosie."
If you are a yellow feather, you don't have a chance with Rosie.
'Just Loafin' - that's Rosie'
People with this name have a deep inner desire for love and companionship, and want to work with others to achieve peace and harmony. Well, I say that goes for cats, too.
The little town of Balderson is always a go-to spot for us at Christmas. They have a glorious little Christmas shop that works its' way to the Mennonite furniture area. They have amazing food at their little restaurant and the coffee is piping hot. Mmmmmm.
I know I said that this year I was keeping it simple and only shopping at home but I have about as much will-power as a cat next to cat-nip when it comes to Christmas tree ornaments.
Organic honey has made all the difference in getting the ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) down the hatch. 2tsp. of ACV, 1 tsp. of organic honey and steaming hot water. Now it's easy.
This God-given sweetener is a favorite in our home. I never thought much about all that it takes to make this wonderful nectar until I met my blogging friend, Natalie from http://knatolee.blogspot.ca/. She has taught us all so much about bee-keeping as she runs her little hobby farm in Eastern, Ontario. If you haven't met Natalie & Gordon, do drop over. They are a charming, funny couple.
Well, must go. Audrey just walked into my closet and she will be either trying on shoes with way too high of a heel for her, or tearing up things. Probably the latter. Five most-often words said in a day around here; "AUDREY, What are you doing?"
hugs, Deb
Oh my goodness,Rosie is a cutie!

Awesome post and photos . Oh Rosie is so pretty . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteOh, Deb, Rosie is adorable! And you my friend, are a scream! I love coming here for a visit. I can always count on a smile. You could probably publish a book about all the antics you and your feline friends go through each day.:)
ReplyDeleteChristmas blessings,
Sandi
Oh! I adore Rosie! She wears her adorableness well!
ReplyDeleteA quote I think of sometimes when using honey!
"Bees do have a smell, you know,
and if they don't they should,
for their feet are dusted with spices
from a million flowers.”
~ Ray Bradbury
Yes, a lot goes into making that awesome sweetness!
Love,
Lily, WA, USA
Rosie is a little sweetie, Deb.
ReplyDeleteI've learned a ton about bees from her, too! What a great job you have looking after sweeties like Rosie.
ReplyDeleteRosie is a cutie! Love honey. Mina and Audrey must be related -- the closet -- OH MY ... What wonders live in the closet!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful girl! Love those beautiful markings and those big, bright, sparkling eyes. Hi Rosie!
ReplyDeleteGlad the honey helps in getting the ACV down. I know I would benefit greatly from it but, like you, can't get it down strait and I don't care for honey ( hangs head in shame).
Oh I say again what a fabulous job you have. Rosie is adorable and so beautiful. We have a grandaughter called Rosie.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteHow precious is Rosie! She had me at hello......
ReplyDeleteRosie is a neat-looking little girl. Her markings are interesting; I've not seen the like.
ReplyDeleteYour comment about hearing someone 'butcher Silent Night' made me think of why I don't listen to top-40 radio stations anymore, especially at Christmas. It seems most pop singers think of carols as a means to show off their 'vocal stylings', to the extent of making the song unrecognisable. Perhaps I'm just too traditional...
That Rosie is a cutie for sure! Sounds like you are enjoying the Christmas season Deb.
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
Rosie is such a cutie! I'd have a lot of fun playing with her :)
ReplyDeleteRosie is adorable!
