I have come to marvel at the instincts of animals to make use of natural laws for healing themselves. They know uneeringly which herbs will cure what ills. Wild creatures first seek solitude and absolute relaxation, then they rely on the complete remedies of nature. An animal with fever quickly hunts up an airy, shady place near water, there remaining quiet, eating nothing but drinking often until its' health is recovered.
Just this quote helped me sleep.
Ed is staying close but not cuddling. I know prayer works. Thank you all so much.
I am finished now with many clients and starting with new ones. I have diabetic cats, cats on thyroid medicine and cats on diets. I tell ya, even with animals we know that health is everything.
Hope you are having a good Sunday. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers and soothing comments about Lily. She is far from out of the woods but as long as she shows improvement, we will continue to do what needs to be done to hopefully give her a little more time with us, and Ed.
hugs, Deb.
I hope she will get better.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs
Praying she gets better.

Their little bodies are just like babies--so fragile when it comes to illness. She couldn't be in better hands though and I'll continue my prayers. XOXO
ReplyDeleteWill continue my morning and evening prayers for her, dear Ed, and you.
ReplyDeleteI'm holding Lily in my thoughts. Bless Mr. Ed for his loving presence, he's a true gem.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a kind soul....all the best to you and your kitties.
ReplyDeletePraying for Lily!

ReplyDeleteam a longtime lurker and I always read your lovely blog, but have to let you know I am keeping Lily in my prayers and all my kitties are purring very hard for her.
Love and rest works wonders...their little bodies cope with much more than ours can. I've always hated syringing food so I use my fingers to place the food in their mouths.
ReplyDeleteStill thinking of you all.

Hi Deb,
ReplyDeleteI'm just reading up a bit...
So sorry to read about Lily's illness.
We too will pray for her.
LOL,
Gabi
I really hope she gets better! It's very sad and stressful to take care of a sick pet. Will keep her in my thoughts today!
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping lily in my prayers, when our old white lady cat Tasha was ill her coat went strange the hair looked a bit greasy, not greasy feeling but different looking, ( does that make sense), when I look at lily t reminds me of her.The vet told us their coats reflect their health, I hope she can pull out of this and if its her time that she goes softly, our Tash was 21 and developed an anal gland infection, with meds and teaspoons of water she pulled through but it damaged her heart, she did live four years after the infection. Please know you are in my thoughts,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that Lily is improving. I will continue to pray for all of you. I am so glad she is surrounded by those who love her... her kitty family and her human parents. So much love. That must be such a huge comfort for her. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteLove and Hugs to all,
Lily, WA, USA
Wishing Lily well. She is surrounded by love and I'm sure that helps.

Glad to hear Lily is doing better. I hope she continues to improve!
ReplyDeleteI treasure you and your cats. You're such a good mother to them. I hope you have more years to come with those that are ailing. In my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Glad to hear that Lily is feeling a bit better :)
ReplyDeleteMe and my mom-person hopes she continues to improve.
I hope she keeps improving. Seniors' health issues are scary but sometimes the little ones are tougher than we think. I knew of a puppy who had a heart condition and was supposed to live only 3 or 4 years. She lived to be 8. Lily may not be ready to leave you yet!

ReplyDeleteI'm just catching up on your posts and so sorry to hear Lily has been ill. It's so hard when your pets are elderly and you are trying to keep them with you just a little bit longer. Lily couldn't be in better hands. Glad you had the little guy to cheer you up some today!
