Thank you all for your heart-felt good wishes and prayers for our Annie.
Linda MacKean sent me an email tonight and I replied with the following...
I have her home with two drains and numerous stitches and some very good drugs. She did well today and we will have the drains removed on Thursday. They had to take an inflamed lymph node along with the tumor. We will let the incision heal and pray it does not come back. The vet suggests that we wait to see if it does and then have the tumor tested for cancer.
My job for three days is to keep her from jumping. Yikes!
As zonked as she is she still ate her dinner. That's our Annie.
I couldn't call it a night without letting you know how she did. Thanks again for your love.
The retired-guy is sleeping off the shock of the bill. ;-)
hugs, Deb
Awwww....so glad she is home and eating. Thank you for keeping us posted. I was worried and now I am not. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update.....surgery is never cheap for humans or animals!!! Bless her little heart.....xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI am so grateful to hear she is home and doing well enough to eat. Thank you for letting us know. I hope you can get some rest because I know you will be busy caring for your sweet girl. Keeping you all in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteoh, i didn't know---just learned about sweet Annie and sending get well wishes her way!!

I'm glad to hear Annie is at home. Sending her prayers and purrs for a continued recovery.
ReplyDeleteThis is where cat's are so wonderful, they never complain. Our Fred had eye operations and they must have been painful but not once did he make a fuss. Like you our bill was HUGE... but worth every penny. Really am willing little Annie on.

Glad surgery is over. Looking forward to more positive updates as she heals. Gail
ReplyDeleteSo glad Annie came through her surgery ok. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and good luck keeping your little peach from jumping ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update. She will be so much more comfortable being home with you and her family. Trying to keep a kitty from jumping and doing all those things that kitties do that they shouldn't after surgery is no easy task. I've never been able to keep mine contained enough. Maybe you'll have to sit and hold her all day (and read stories to her). What could be nicer for both of you?
ReplyDeleteAnd it's worth every penny.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us know Deb. I have been thinking of you all day.

Thank you for letting us know Miss Annie's update.
ReplyDeleteYou will have to sleep with "one eye and one ear open"
Prayers for Annie and her "people family"
No doubt.....vet bills are huge sometimes, but we will pay them for the love of our little ones who trust us with their love.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear her surgery went well.
My hubby always says "it will bee's what it bee's" when I say something cost too much.... hahaha, yes he says it plural like that.
Iam so glad it's over for her. We have said prayers for her and I have faith she will be just fine. I know how hard it is to see her with stitches and tubes. Please know our thoughts and continued prayers are with you. love you Annie
ReplyDeletePrayers coming your way for Annie.
ReplyDeleteSounds like everything went very well! The bill would have been much more if it wasn't outpatient! haha. Hope she heals well with a full recovery!
ReplyDeleteI do hope all goes well for Annie and you both yes vet bills cost a lot but our fur babies are so worth it . Praying for all .
ReplyDeleteI'm glad she is home safe in your arms and recovering. Fingers crossed, prayers coming that the tumor doesn't return and is not malignant. If she feels like jumping, I think that is a very good sign! Hope Ms. Audrey is treating her kindly!
ReplyDeleteYes, I understand retired guy's pain -- I remember well from Stimpy's more pricey visit long ago. And he would pay it over and over for his Sweet Annie.
Thoughts with you.
I have to say I felt better last night knowing she was home and doing well. Oh that bill is enough to put us all to bed! Hugs to both of you and much love!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear this update!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Annie is back home, where she can heal up under your careful administrations. With so many prescriptions and vet visits for Chuck, I don't even flinch anymore at the check-out. Sending purrs.
ReplyDeleteYou undoubtedly feel relief at having Annie home. Being with her family again will be the best medicine she can have.
ReplyDeleteAnd the costs these days! I hope the retired-guy won't have to go back to work to pay for the bills! Save some of the tranquillizers for him!
I haven't been on the computer until now and my first thought was to check your blog for word on Annie. I'm so happy she came through the surgery okay. How sweet that she ate her supper. I can imagine how zonked you must have been too, from worry. Vet visits can be expensive! Many times I've hated to come home with the news. Will be thinking of you and sweet Annie.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't look at first but I am so happy to know Annie is out of surgery and is home. I love hearing she ate. Those cats who have known starvation never refuse a meal but that works to her advantage in situations like this. The inflamed node scares me a bit. She's in our prayers, Deb. We must believe she'll be just fine.
ReplyDeleteI will continue to hold sweet Annie in my prayers that everything comes out good. I know what you mean about the bill...Clara's visit was just under $200.00! But we love them and no amount will change that.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor sweet Annie, I'm sending prayers and kitty cat hugs your way!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear Annie is home recuperating. Hope all goes well and that you relax with her. (you will need it) Please give that sweet girl a hug from me. Patty from Illinois
ReplyDeleteShe is in the best hands possible Deb....home with you💙
ReplyDeleteThinking of you....
Cheers!
Linda :o)
It is good that she is in recovery.
ReplyDeleteHope so much she will be fit as a fiddle in no time with all the wonderful care you guys will provide.
