Annie after a good dinner.
Her post-op check-up went well today although she will be wearing her scuba suit for a few more days to keep her from licking her incision. Her stitches were removed and all in all, the surgeon was happy with her healing.
She has another appt. next week and then hopefully she can shed the get-up.
She's been a real trooper. Better than her mama...being me. :) I just keep thinking that no cat should have to go through so much.
I just want her back to her old self.
pansies lift your spirits
It's been warm enough to decorate with flowers today, the hardy type.
Even the old out-house got a couple of pots.
They just say 'Spring' to me. And make you smile.
The petunias stay in the greenhouse at night for now but the pansies can take the cooler evenings.

Thank you for all the 'Annie prayers'.
We have been feeling the love from all of you.
hugs, Deb
She looks relaxed and that is good. Glad to hear she is healing. I know how hard it is when our babies are sick. Pansies are such a happy flower!
ReplyDeleteSounds like she's coming along just fine! Hope next week goes well, too!
ReplyDeleteI planted pansies yesterday! Love them!
Sweet Annie seems to be coming along so well, that makes all happy!
ReplyDeleteYes pansies don't mind the cold at all - we plant them outside in autumn and here there in spring doing so well until the hot weather arrives. Such lovely flowers.
Your granddaughter's teacup pants and polka dot boots! How adorable is that garden outfit!
I believe that's a St. Francis statue in the background isn't it Deb? Always such a special addition to any garden - especially one such as yours with so many birds and animals.
Have a wonderful weekend - hugs, Mary
Happy to hear Annie is getting better. And eagerly waiting for your garden updates. Today came across a link in Internet today and thought you will like it.

I can't help thinking how lucky it was that she had this procedure done in the cooler months, imagine having to wear the little coat in the summer. Pansies are Tom's favourite flower and we always manage to fit some in somewhere.

flower..Growing in pots/baskets etc...and 'NOT'
picked/cut and put into silly vases, on a window
sill..! HeHe! So there!!!
Awww little Annie. We are glad that her little body is on the mend. Sunshine and sleep will help.

Annie is adorable. Bless her little heart, and yours too. It is looking so pretty there. I love the pansies, and I LOVE those big vines that grow around the little outhouse. Tell miss Audrey that we haven't forgotten her. :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear Annie is doing well. Thought about both of you yesterday.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend.
Robin
This must be so hard to wrap her in her little red jacket...but my goodness she does look so darn sweet in it. Don't you just love pansies...happy weekend Deb.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting so quickly about Ms Annie. She has really adapted well,it seems to the "scuba suit rigging".
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are looking bright and cheerful. Watch closely, you will probably have a bird's nest in the heart wreath pretty soon! Thank God for your Vet too!
Annie looks so sweet, sleeping on the cushion. I'm delighted to learn that she is recovering well - Annie is a little Honey-Bun!
ReplyDeleteWonderful news. I agree pansies have such cheerful little faces & a pot at the door is such a lovely greeting ... no matter the door to where :)
ReplyDeleteAnnie looks so comfy. I can't imagine Lizzie in a scuba suit. She'd be walking backward trying to get out of it! She is so relaxed there. I'm glad you got a good report; fingers crossed that next week's is even better, if that's possible!
ReplyDeleteI put my pansies in outside before surgery next week and I might not feel like digging. Didn't want them to die in their little nursery pots! They're so cheerful and hardy, too -- which is a good thing, because the temp dropped 35 degrees yesterday!
She looks snug as a bug! I'm glad she's on the mend and hope everything continues to go well. You're right, for mamas, it's hard to see our little ones go through so much!
ReplyDeleteThat 'scuba suit' is great for keeping her away from her stitches. It's really difficult to keep any type of bandage on a cat. So happy she is doing well.
ReplyDeleteI hate having to take my cats to the veterinary, especially when they must go under the knife. Even when things go well - which they so far have, thank goodness - there is inconvenience (at the least) afterward, and I can never explain to them why they must go through it. Yet they never hold it against me. Wonderful little creatures.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised Annie adapted to her wetsuit so well, but very pleased she is healing nicely.
I'm glad Annie is healing well, poor sweet baby!! The pansies look great, Deb, I've had mine out for a while now, they make me smile!!
ReplyDeleteShe does seem relaxed there.
ReplyDeleteTruly, there is nothing as satisfying as watching a cat fall asleep after you've fed them a good meal.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear Annie is healing. Poor dear girl, as you said , she's been through so much. We'll be praying that this is the last of her woes and from now on it's only health and happiness for her.
ReplyDeleteAnnie looks so sweet sleeping in her red jacket. I'm glad that the surgeon is saying she's doing well!
ReplyDeleteOh, Annie! I'm glad she's a good sport about her scuba suit.
ReplyDeleteGood news that Annie is healing well and on the road to shedding her scuba gear! Your flowers are very pretty and love your little helper :)
ReplyDeleteglad to see Annie enjoying a bit of sun
ReplyDeletemust be nice after all the cold, those pansies look lovely & cheerful!
thanx for sharing
Haha that red jacket - its great!
ReplyDeleteNew to your blog and so happy to see your sweet Annie recovering. Your flowers are beautiful!

ReplyDeleteGet well soon Annie (I love your red jacket). Your pretty pansies certainly lifted my spirits today, thank you. Oh yes and your blog gets a mention on my blog today. Hugs Barbara
ReplyDeleteI'm glad her checkup went well. I don't plant pansies. Seems like we go from wet/cold to hot/dry. I have a lot of perennials and shrubs.
