Getting ready for the Big Guy

There are apples hanging on our tree for a reason. My husband's uncle Ralph owned and operated a company called Jantzi Apple Butter Factory in Wellesley, Ontario for many years. Gary has wonderful memories as a kid hanging around there and lending a hand when necessary. Gary's uncle died at the age of 56. He was in the prime of his life when he passed away from a heart-attack while vacationing in Arizona. We all miss him and at Christmas he is in our thoughts.

I added a couple of new ornaments to my kitchen tree
There is a lot of washing up around here in the morning. While I have my coffee the kitties eat and then an hour of grooming begins. They know something is in the air.

I think they are getting their coats ready to meet the BIG GUY.
Hugs, Deb

  5. That is a nice way to remember him. Love the tree, cute stuff on it! That kitty cat sure is a cutie too. My Jack has big patches where he has lost his hair and he just seems so miserable, and it breaks my heart! I am wondering if I should have the vet put him down. Hard to know.

  6. Yes,the vet has seen him and thinks it is allergies, wants to put him on steroids, but I that that was not good either. It is so dang hard to feed just one cat and keep him away from all the other pets foods too when I have many pets! I don't know what to do.

  9. I think you're right. They do know something is up. And that they're Mama/surrogate is very happy around this time of year. (I can't show pics of the kitty yet. It won't come out from under the guest room bed. And the one time I tried to drag it out I got scratched in the face. And it's been here over 24 hours. So, soon I hope!) Suggestions?

  11. Hi Deb!
What a sweet post. I just love you sweet spirit and love for animals. Your kitties are so sweet and so loved. I can't imagine life without my two. I just wish more people would realize what a job it is to be owned by a kitty!

I hope that all of the little fur guys find homes.

    hugs

  12. My heart breaks for all God's creatures that do not know the love and security of a home and family this CHRISTmas, both furry and human variety. I think you just gave me a wonderful solution to the early onset of boredom during holiday break...we will head to the shelter and humane society for some interaction and toy delivery!! Thank you for having such a huge heart for all these poor dear ones wanting some love and TLC just like we all do! Your the best!!
