You would think since the kids have all flown the coop, the house would be quiet and peaceful in the morning...not so. The first sound that jolts me out of a deep sleep is the *yeowling* of my Siamese, Ginny who is now standing on my neck and staring into my face. After stumbling to the stairs and heading to the kitchen I am greeted with an operatic concert of "meows" & "chirps" and some Gawd-awful noise coming from Mr. Ed. I have trained myself to rise above it until that beloved first cup of coffee is warming my hands and promising to improve the moment. Then, it is on to the food-fest. And when the tummy's are full and the paws and faces are gleaming, it is off again to bed. Me..I'll most-likely vacuum, they'll love that ...ha!

  1. Hi Deb! I am so excited to find your blog! You know how I love cats! I am not as strong as you are...fill furry tummies, then get my coffee! My Baby Kitty wakes me up early. He hasn't figured out that I am retired! lol I love the big tortie that you are holding. Is he/she yours? Reminds me of my Ozzie! Have a great week!...Debbie

  2. Hi Deb -- We used to live in an apartment carved out of an old mansion in Pennsylvania, and our nearest neighbors had Siamese -- and since no one ever closed their doors, we were often waked by noisy cats demanding food from US after they'd had food from their own apartment.
    I remember that distinctive voice!
