A garden in my hands

                                                    Chintz China
I think we all crave the sight and fragrance of  flowers right now. Thank goodness we can find them in flower shops if we just can't wait any longer. Or, maybe look to your china.
I love this tea-cup and saucer. I think it's the daisies that drew me to it. Such colour, such vibrance. I feel like I am in the secret garden when I hold it in my hands.
The cup and saucer are Wade Heath - made in England.

This little plate or tray that I found while antiquing seems to match it well. Lots of room for a tiny piece of carrot cake along with your tea-cup.
and a cup of Chocolate Tai Tea. No honey today.
I'm thinking I should show this to Audrey.
Do you think she just may try to one-up-it and serve me my tea?

"Oh, do get over yourself."

OK, then.

The sun was shining today and Kane and I went for a long walk.
The biting cold has left, once again.

It's on these crisp, sunny wintery days that I think, "Maybe I can take a bit more of winter."

Nah!

I'm joining up with Sandi at http://sandimyyellowdoor.blogspot.ca/ for Tea Time Tuesday,
Tuesday Cuppa Tea at http://antiquesandteacups.blogspot.ca/ and Friends Sharing Tea at http://bernideensteatimeblog.blogspot.ca/

  9. Audrey is such a charmer! What a grand personality she wears on her face. Love your chintz. What a treat! My mother left me her full set of Rose Chintz by Johnson Bros. I use it daily. I also have a set of Haviland with tiny pink roses with gray shadows. Do not know the name of the print. Your blog is wonderful, thanks for letting us take part.

  14. Hi Deb, it makes me happy to know that you have another fan from Argentina, I haven´t got a blog but I do love yours since I discovered it through Brenda from cozzy little house. I have nine beautiful cats and two adorable dogs which I found wandering in the streets 4 years ago,one is nearly blind and the other is a bit limp but they are safe now living happily with the cat family. One of the kitties loves them so much that she sleeps and plays with them and anxiously waits for them behind the door to come back from their walk at night... perhaps she thinks she´s a dog too!I love your china Deb so delicate...Can you please share with us the recipe of the carrot cake?
All my love to your adorable Kane and kitties
