Planning ahead

Shhhhh...Audrey is sleeping...

so I'm playing in the dining-room again and I am getting the Easter itch. I was shopping yesterday and the stores are filled with bunnies and chicks, pretty Easter baskets and hanging Easter tree ornaments. This has got to be the best time for decorating. We are all so sick of the drab of winter and now we can bring out the colours of Spring.

I've been planning the Easter table for this year. I don't do anything fancy, just some fun.

Last year's table was covered in little Easter critters that kept our grand-daughter, Riley very amused.

It's funny to see my china cabinet in these photos. It's now at my daughters' house and it looks great there. I've replaced it with the step-back cupboard.

and the year before it was chocolate bunnies and daisies
There was a bunny for everyone and the little wee one was for Riley.

and of course, some little chicks.
This year it will be very different. Unfortunately, we still have some winter to get through.
Oh well, the sun is warmer and the temperature is rising once again. We'll have to be happy with that for now.

First a big cup of coffee and then I'm off to cat-sit. Lots of kitties waiting on 'the lady with thumbs'.
hugs, Deb

    1. Sure. Have fun, but like me, I imagine you won't be putting any Easter grass out. It is too tasty for cats.

  8. Your table and decorations look so beautiful I want to add those spring colours to my life now. I've had enough of grey, I need bright green, yellow and robin's egg blue.

  10. How do you keep your table design safe from your cats? There's no way my two cats would leave that alone.

    1. I have doors on the dining-room. Audrey would have this destroyed in a minute.
