I wish him well

Today was my last day to care for my 'country cats'.
It was a calm, quiet day with no wind and the sun shining off and on.
I finished up and bid farewell to Doc, Matrix and Maple.
As I was heading back I looked over to see if the orange tabby-cat might again be sleeping in the barn window.
Well, he wasn't sleeping but instead having a staring contest with a cow.
I captured their moment from the road.
I hope he has a good life. He does look content to me.
I always worry about barn cats although I do know of some that are well-loved and cared for.

We are to get yet another blast of winter in the next few days.
Are you all worn out yet from this long, cold winter?
I know I am.
I'm seeking out anything that might have a hint of Spring to it.

Stay warm.
Deb

  6. Wonderful photo . I am sure the barn cat has lots of warm spots to snuggle up in there and mice to chase . Starting next Wed the temps are to be in the pluses for us down here and even rain in the forecast sounds like a hint of spring to me ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !

  8. What a wonderful picture. As I observe the interactions of the many animals of varied species that live here I marvel at how it seems a universal need to make contact with each other , even if the contact can be a real threat. Animals & people of all sorts, all kinds, need contact , thrive on it , or decline for the lack.

    A cow & a cat , lovely.

  9. That's a beautiful shot, great timing!

My newest cat, Tabikat was originally rehomed to be a stable cat. However for some unknown reason he turned up at my place last year, I live 3 miles away from the stables. I'm not sure if he just left or if he cadged a lift. One of life's great mysteries!

  10. I am so over winter this year! We got more snow last night. It just keeps coming down and not melting in between snows. AUGH! So, yes, I am seeking Spring 'anything' anywhere I can find it. Gotta keep the spirits up!!! And that cat/cow picture is adorable!

  11. Those great stones must make the barn cold as a refrigerator! The wee bit of sun through the window must be heaven for our beautiful friend.
    I wish him well too.
