Jack

We say farewell to our NDP (New Democratic Party of Canada) leader, Jack Layton today.
I am  not a fan of politics or politicians but I did like Jack. He passed away at 61 years of age after a battle with cancer.

RIP Jack.
hugs, Deb

  1. A very sad day for us all. Whether you agree with his political views one could never deny he was passionate about them.

  2. It was a shock to hear the news this morning. I really didn't think he'd ever be back in the public, but I thought he might pass in the fall or winter. But in only a few weeks....Very sad all round, I agree, even though like you, I'm not a fan of politicians in general.

  3. So sorry for your loss - especially if he was a good one. They are hard to find these days - at least in the states.

  4. I agree. Politics and politicians aren't my favourite things, but Layton provided energy and a view different from that of the ruling party, and that is essential in a democracy. In any case, anyone's death is a loss.
