Siamese needs home urgently

How could anything this beautiful be discarded like a bag of garbage?

This gorgeous cat was abandoned by his owners. A kind lady in our town has given him shelter and food for now. She was told by neighbours that it came from a home where they didn't want it anymore and just put it out. I don't know for sure but was told they don't live there anymore. So now he is wandering and looking for a home. Jean has stepped up and decided to care for him until a spot at a rescue opens up or someone comes forward who would give him a good home.
He seems to get along well with male cats. Not so much with her female. He is rather indifferent to the dog.
He wants to be in her home but because the female and he do not get along (lots of hissing and snarling) she will house him on their covered deck  for now. She has made a bed of blankets and says he is very comfortable while the evenings are warm. He is being well fed and she said she tries to spend time with him as he is very affectionate. He was sitting on her knee as she spoke to me on the phone. She thinks he is around 2 years old.

If anyone would like more information on this wonderful cat, please contact me.

  1. Aww, what a beautiful cat !
How can people do such things, cold-hearted is the word that comes to mind.
Thank goodness there are people willing to step in and humanely take care of these abandoned pets until a forever home can be found.
    I hope that is soon....

  2. South Texas and Canada are too many miles apart.... I don't have an inside cat anymore...just our dog and our patio cat......"I wish I could help.. It breaks my heart, how can any one discard a living breathing animal... He's so beautiful....I pray someone needs him as much as he needs them.

  3. Seriously? Sometimes people make me sick! I can't ever imagine doing such a thing. That poor beautiful kitty I hope someone can step forward and give him a proper loving home. Your friend has a good heart to look after him in his time of need.

  4. Aw Deb that's such a shame. Poor fellow...he was very lucky to have been taken in by your friend. It's too bad the female is being so hard on him but at least for now he has a home. If we didn't already have 3 cats and live so far away I would consider it. Hopefully he finds a forever home soon. I'll be watching to see how things go for him. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  5. It makes me just sick when people simply turn their cats out to fend for themselves because they don't want them any longer. I live in central Wisconsin. I wonder how far apart we are? We have Mario, who is about 5. He get s along pretty well with our daughter's two cats - they are 13+ now. Being retired, I sure don't need the expense of another cat, but these types of situations break my heart, especially when it's a housecat. I could ask our daughter if they would be willing to accept 2 cats from us when we have to go into Assisted Living. I know they will take mario because we asked that before we adopted him. Please keep me posted and let me know about where you are located.

  6. Such a beautiful cat, I can't imagine what goes on it people to abandon such a beautiful creature. Thankful for your friend for taking it in. I hope he finds a loving home soon.

  7. How can people be so callous? Perhaps they fell on hard times since they must have loved him to make him so affectionate.

  8. Stories like this make me want to cry--
it hurts your hurt to hear it.
I'm thankful someone is caring for him now.
Hopeful he finds a good home very soon.
    Sending him a hug.

  9. Good grief, people can be so heartless. Then there are folks like you, who take up the slack for all the cruelty and neglect. I have 5 cats. Whenever I hear a sad kitty story I have to hug and love on my little gals all the more. They have had a good home, it can't be said of so many others.

  10. He is a beautiful cat and I hope finds a new home soon! Your friend is wonderful to take care of him and make sure he is comfortable and fed. I can't imagine what callousness to just abandon your pet like that.

  11. oh dear-I meant to say it hurts my heart to hear things like this..

  12. no way to get him to Cali? We'd take him in less than a heartbeat.

  13. It's just so hard to understand someone 'dumping' a pet after they decide it no longer fits into their life/lifestyle. How do some people simply look at a stray, fall in love instantly, and want to do everything we can to help it, and the next person 'owns' a pet for a couple of years and then just gives it 'the boot' in a blink of an eye without even thinking. It just blows the mind.

Sending best wishes that this sweet kitty finds a loving forever home.
    xo Catherine

  14. Bless him and bless your friend for taking him in. I hope he finds the home he deserves very soon.

  15. Maybe he just needs time to get used to girl kitties. He is probably very insecure and feels unsettled in this new environment.
Who are the horrible people who would abandon him with winter just around the corner? I will pray for him to find a wonderful home where he will be loved and cherished and a quick opening in your wonderful shelter until the perfect home is found. I live so, so far away or I'd take him in a flash. I have both males and females and strongly believe he just needs time to settle down.

  16. I agree Kari. It is to convince others.
