a successful trip to the Log Farm Antiques

After picking up keys for cat-sitting this weekend, and since I was in the area, I headed over to The Log Farm for a look-see.

This property is so beautiful. I was there without a camera but have some pictures from past visits. The owners live in the beautiful home to the right. We have been invited in on occasion just to see some of their personal treasures.
They have greeters there.
Lots of greeters

What I love about this antique barn is that they change their merchandise often. You are always in for a treat.
I was looking for a few blue and white pieces of china. I have one tea-cup called Countryside that could use a mate. I entered, looked to the right and there she was. My new old little blue and white tea-cup.

This plate had to come home with me, too.
The cup and saucer are Swinnertons Silverdale made in Hanley, England.
The plate only has the word Malvern and it is made in England.

I fell in love with an old, chippy, kitchen cupboard but it was very pricey. Perfect..but pricey. It is made of pine and has a cupboard with two shelves & two drawers for cutlery and linen. A little detail on the cupboard doors and a simple backdrop on the top shelf. It is approx. 100 years old with the original paint.
Oh heck...just take a look.
Well kept and very loved, I'm sure. Why can't I stop thinking of this beautiful treasure? ...oh dear!

My walk with Kane this morning took us through a few lovely neighbourhoods. Gorgeous flowers caught my eye and then...
a surprise visitor.  "Hello there."
It was a beautiful day for a walk and now it's pouring rain again.
Have a great weekend, everyone. Do enjoy yourself.

I'm linking up with Diana at http://dianaevans.blogspot.ca/ for Sweet Saturday and .http://www.maleviksrosentradgard.blogspot.ca/ for Saturday Show-off.

  2. What a delightful and beautiful visitor. She has a bit of wildcat look to her, which I'm just mad about.
