Ready to wrap and here's a tip.

I love how, at Christmas, something unique and special about a friend comes to mind. Something they love, spend time with and possibly photograph helps with the choice of a gift for them. I thought of a friend today when I saw 'just the right ceramic dish'. So, one more gift home and ready to wrap. Can't show you 'cause she may be a reader of this blog, not sure. I am ready to start wrapping and that is my favorite part of the gift buying.
I like to add bobbles, tree ornaments, ribbon or candy and a special card or tag with the gift.

Here is a tip - take last year's Christmas cards and turn them into this year's tags by cutting out the pictures. Saves buying more 'paper products' and it's really fast and easy.

We always remember our kitties from days gone by who helped to make our house a home.

The retired guy has purchased a tiny train for under our table tree for little Riley to enjoy. Well, that's what he says but I have a feeling it's for him, too.  His mom and dad had a train set that ran around the Christmas tree and our kids loved it. She would fill sections of the train with candy or little gifts. What sweet memories. His mom is now living with alzheimers.

Sierra and I were going over some recipes today deciding what to make for Christmas dinner.
I really appreciate all her contributions in the kitchen

Pumpkin pie always wins out but that Rhubarb Custard pie sounded good. She suggested  a cat-nip cake. "Ummmm.....NO!"
